I’ve had better Thai food in a failing malls food court. 30 minute wait for carryout plus it took five minutes to get them on the phone. Cash only ! The appetizers tasted like they came from the freezer section of the Dollar General. The entrees were terrible both of them barley had 2oz of chicken, criminally skimpy. The sweet and sour just tasted like they deglazed a burnt pan with corn syrup, then squeezed a cats glands to add some color. Luckily there were some veggies to pick out and eat over the rice. The pad Thai was greasy, sugary and bland. The Tom Yum was Tom Yuck !! Just a strange bitter broth that I had to spit out. I have no clue how this place has any awards or such a high rating on google. I will never go back to this place. It was gross. So many better Thai places around.

This so-called hole-the-wall carry-out restaurant has the-best most-authentic Thai cuisine in metro-Detroit. Bring on the heat, Pi’s Thai reinvents the definition of spicy food - you can get your entrée served mild if blazing-hot food is not your thing. The tofu is unique and delicious. The Tom Yum soup made with lemongrass, Thai chiles , straw mushrooms and fresh cilantro is rich with flavor. It is cash-only so make sure you stop at the ATM before you go. Dishes are freshly prepared in minutes. There are a few places to sit (2 very small booths - seating for 2) it is primarily to-go food. Be warned this Thai food is highly addictive!

I used to frequent this location often, especially during my pregnancy with my son over 22 years ago. Throughout the years, I’ve witnessed many employees come and go, but one thing that remained the same was the consistently poor attitude of the owner and the older woman who typically works behind the counter. Due to the unpleasant customer service, I made the decision years ago to stop patronizing this establishment.

However, today, while in the area, I decided against my better judgment, to give the place another try after nearly a 10-year hiatus. To my surprise, I was greeted by a young gentleman who took my order. I was very clear and specific about what I wanted. After placing my order, the older woman appeared once again. The young man allowed me to dine in but directed me to a specific table, rather than allowing me to choose where I preferred to sit.

Once seated, my meal was brought out, hot and freshly prepared, with noodles added to my dish. However, approximately 15 minutes into my meal, the older woman came out and abruptly told me I needed to leave because they needed to “clean up.” I explained that I was not yet finished eating and asked why I wasn’t being allowed to enjoy my meal. She curtly responded, “We have to clean up.”

I then began packing up my food, only for her to further disrespect me by requesting an additional fee of $1.00 for the carryout container after I had already paid $25.90 for my meal.

Needless to say, I will never patronize this business again, regardless of how good the food may be. A simple lesson in basic customer service and human decency goes a long way. I hope this message serves as a reminder that how you treat people matters. God is...

For 13 years I have been a resident of Michigan. Native Hawaiian from O'ahu (Hawai'i. Our food consists of all ethnic groups starting from the plantation days, Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Puerto Rican etc Hawai'i is a melting pot and hands down the best tasting food ever! Not talking about the tourist traps that have fake luaus. We ate Hawaiian chili peppers daily with every meal so I was use to it. Being here this long my taste buds have healed and is pretty sensitive. Anyways. I miss home and I cook, smoke or grill daily all 4 seasons of all my foods I grew up eating. somedays I get tired and just want to pay someone else to cook a good meal for me, where I completely get a food coma. 🙃

From Genesee County to Oakland I've tried every asian restaurant/take-out This by far has been the real deal of Thai. Real spiciness. Unlike other places I've been to here in Michigan their medium heat or the hottest, always came out sweet. Not here. I love it! I get the N2 Pad sea ewe N5 Pad kee Mao (drunken noodles) Dayuuum!! Literally, very similar in what we call chow fun noodles. Different ways to make it with different cooks but this hit home for me. I cried a little as it reminded me of home but so glad this place is located around the corner.

Love their chicken rolls that have poi (Taro) in them. I could eat that all day.

Anyways... The establishment is super friendly! I love that. The best places are the hole in the walls. Ya'll won't regret this place!

Now, if you aren't use to the spice I suggest starting from mild then work your way up. Definitely (ONO)...

Their time estimates are always inaccurate, food usually take about twice the estimated time for carryout. If they say 20 minutes, it's more like 40. There has been times when they told me 40 minutes and I go there and have to wait another half an hour after their estimated time. Never fails, it's pretty annoying that they can't get it right. Also my appetizer is always cold. They don't time the food properly. They throw the appetizer in the fryer right away and don't get started on the entrees until right before you pick it up.

Their hours are extremely inconsistent. They always have a voicemail that says to check their Facebook page but their Facebook page isn't updated either. It's hard to crave this place and not be able to order. I probably am able to order maybe 1 out of 10 times when I try. Many days their phones go unanswered or they constantly have a busy signal when you call.

If customer service is important to you, then you probably won't like this place, the food's really good and that's it. It's cash only, dirty looking, not open on Sundays and has a longer than mentioned wait time. Don't expect anything fancy.

I called 9 times today when they opened. Finally got through and it was totally worth it! It's spicier than most Thai places. I got medium and it was on the border of too spicy but still very good. I love the Crab Ragoons and Drunken Noodles. The wait does suck and it's cash only but sometimes it's...
