Once upon a time, there were four Italian men who loved their super loud truck more than anything in the world. They lived in a small town, and every Friday night they would take their beloved truck to pick up pizza from the famous Pizza Connection.
The four friends were not very good at speaking English, but they loved to try anyway. They would always say things like "Hey boss, we-a need-a some-a pizza, pronto!" and "Mamma mia, this-a truck is-a loud-a!"
One Friday night, the four men piled into their truck and set off for Pizza Connection. As they drove through the streets of Hazel Park, their truck made so much noise that people could hear it from miles away. The Italian men didn't care, though – they were having too much fun!
When they finally arrived at Pizza Connection, they jumped out of their truck and rushed inside. The owner, a kind young suave italian man, greeted them warmly and asked what they wanted.
The four friends looked at each other and then turned to the owner. "We-a want-a some-a pizza, please!" they said in unison.
The owner chuckled and asked what kind of pizza they wanted. The Italian men looked at each other again, unsure of what to say. Finally, one of them spoke up. "We-a want-a some-a pepperoni, and-a maybe some-a mushrooms too. And-a don't forget-a the garlic bread!"
The owner nodded and began making their pizza. As they waited, the Italian men chatted with each other in broken English, laughing and joking around.
Finally, the pizza was ready. The Italian men paid for their food and rushed back to their truck, eager to eat their pizza while it was still hot.
As they drove away from Pizza Connection, the four friends started to sing an old Italian song at the top of their lungs. People on the street stared at them, wondering who these crazy Italians were and why they were so loud.
But the Italian men didn't care. They were happy and full of pizza, and their beloved truck was roaring down the street....

Read moreI've been going to Pizza Connection since I was 16 years old, that's 38 years now, and the food has always been excellent. But like most restaurants in this economy their portions have gotten smaller while their prices have gone up. My favorite dish has always been the Pizza Turnover, a calzone, that would extend across a 12in pizza box, diagonally, and so fat that you could hardly close the box. Filled with ham and pepperoni, or whatever you want, cheese and sauce from end to end it was juicy and delicious, something you can make two meals of if you want . Though the one I had the other day didn't compare to its grandfather it was still juicy and delicious and well worth the price. I suggest you go there and try one, or one of the many other good foods they serve, for yourselves. You won't be...
