We pulled in through the drive through during lunch, they had maybe 2-3 cars ahead of us, so not very busy , but the order taker was very rude. She was very impatient with us WHILE we tried to order, and then at the end of the order, after we TRIED to correct her mistake, she finished us out and very rudely goes â25.84, next windowâ, no further clarification on our order. We pull up to the pay window, pay, and never get a receipt, was never offered a receipt either. BIG MISTAKE. The order was wrong and the staffing inside is very argumentative and hot headed. It felt like they thought I was trying to rob them, when really I wanted a $4 fry instead of the $8 sandwhich I had already paid for , in which I was MORE THAN WILLING to give back. I DIDNT WANT IT. It was rung up wrong, I wanted to exchange for the correct product, I didnât want a refund initially but I also didnât want the sand-which, just make my order right. Wasnât happening. . Not possible, they were very unwilling and lost. . I dealt with 3 employees way before I ever got a chance to talk to the manager and I really wouldâve rather not have seen that manager after that encounter. She walked up to the very confused looking employee all pissed off and goes âthey HAVE to pay for itâ like we wouldve if we wanted the sandwhich, so we pay for the $8 sandwhich we DIDN'T WANT AND the fry we wanted? Not a chance. Take ALL your food back, and give us our money back cause our order was wrong, weâre not spending more at a place that willingly treats their customers, who really do pay their wage, like absolute liars over a simple mistake that couldâve been corrected, might I add it was THEIR mistake. They wonât/ CANT do in store refunds. After we learned this, we asked for the franchise/corporate number AND the name of the manager we had encountered. Complete refusal. Some simple customer service wouldâve been to BLAST. Believe, listen, apologize, solution, thank. Itâs really that SIMPLE. If you want good customer service, I wouldnât recommend this specific Wendyâs. The Wendyâs in downtown Newark has NEVER been a let down! Or honestly, just go to any other business!! I canât tell if the manager here really just couldnât handle her job or...
Read moreThis place is under staffed. I went in for lunch. There were some construction workers in front of me that had already ordered. Three ladies at the counter said " give me just a minute and I will be right with you. I stood back. With the construction workers. I wasn't in any hurry. The ladies are very inpatient and turned and left. One of the workers turned to me and said.. we already ordered and they have only been here a couple minutes. I said. I'm not in any hurry. I'll let her get caught up. She also had "Door Dash orders" which in my opinion is a big mistake for restaurants. There were 3 door dash orders that sat there the entire time I was there. Now. Cold Wendy food... Yuck plus they are paying to have it delivered. Oh goodness. Now, back to me. The kind construction workers got their orders and Door dash orders were placed in the bin. I let the nice lady know that I almost fell coming in the door. It was raining and there was no rug in the entrance and its tile was slick as ice. She said she has mentioned this to the owners before. What a shame.. so I placed my order after we got a caution sign out. I got nice hot fries and was on my way....
Read moreI ordered a number 6 w/cheese. Check it at the window after receiving it because the employee didn't seem very confident about handing it to me. It didn't have cheese added. The one and only thing specific to my order that I additionally paid for. So I pulled around. Went inside. Explained. They made me a new sandwich and put it in its own bag and handed it to me. Now I should have checked it, but to be honest I thought the order was simple enough that messing it up once was a fluke. Twice would be impossible. Smiled, said thanks. Went home. No cheese. How hard is this? I mean really. Quite possibly one of the least complicated food orders that they get in an average day, I'm sure, and it gets messed it up, twice. In the exact same way none the less after simple specific instructions as to what was missing. How does this happen? It's bad enough I got to pay extra for the thin slice of government cheese anyways, considering I'm paying for a breath of soda and 12 ounces of ice, but I pay the silly cheese cost and it gets jacked up...twice. Mind...
