First starters, the price point isn't terrible. But the burgers are dry. I threw half of my burger away, and my husband threw his entire shake away. I ended up throwing my shake out at our next stop. We had chocolate shakes, by the way. On the menu, it says that you can order a strawberry shake, but when we got ours after, my husband ordered a STRAWBERRY shake, I got to the counter, they were both chocolate. I was then RUDELY informed by a man who did not take our order that they don't sell strawberry shakes. Then, when we got our bag of food, we had both ordered fries. My husband ordered a LARGE, and no one said that there was only one size fry. And the receipt even reflected that he had ordered a LARGE fry. I then got, by the same individual, RUDELY barked again at me that "they only sell one size fry!" Because I had already "complained" about the strawberry shake, I assume, I NEVER complained. I simply asked about it both times. The very same guy that barked at me the first time gave me my missing fries. He then came out under the auspices that he was checking to see if we "needed anything else" or if "we were happy with what we had"? Verbatim. It was aggressive and rude! This was NOT the house manager checking on a patron to see if everything's all right with their meal. He acted as though we were hiding the fries from him so that we could get a third fry for free somehow! Or at least that's the impression my husband and I both got.
We won't ever be eating at this place again. And I absolutely will not be recommending it to anyone. Honestly, I will probably go out of my way to tell people not to go! Which is also sad because I generally don't complain in my reviews. I think I've given one other bad review, and in all of the time, I've been giving reviews on google. I absolutely hate feeling like a Karen, which is what this man made me feel like I was being! We both had both been very much looking forward to our meal at this place! We were up from Butte, and we had remembered that we had been wanting to come here for several months now. Sometimes, the things you look the most forward to are the things that disappoint you the most as well.
Maybe some training and customer service could be useful. Also, maybe teach them to TELL their customers that they don't actually serve the things that are on the menu when they order them. That was a ridiculous...
Read moreOverall, I was unimpressed with Copperline Smashburgers. I dont think theres any reason beyond convenience to eat at Copperline instead of Old Salt Outpost.
We came in at 5:50 on a Sunday and the place was relatively busy, but nothing crazy.
Atmosphere: (1) The dining room was smokey to the point the employees had opened the back door, so it was quite cold too. (2) The layout of the restuarant doesnt make sense. You walk in thr front door, then you have to walk through the people waitinf in line to get to the back of the line. (3) The interior overall looks quite nice and relatively clean, but the place is new. (4) The music that was playing was very weird, drowned out the employees calling out orders. Backstreet boys, This Is Halloween, and that popular Banana Boat remake. Very weird.
Food: (1) Samshburgers are meant to be cooked well done. This is bc your supposed to 'carameilze' the edges of the burger and it gets a little crispy and delicious. My burger was quite pink, due to the patty being smashed unevely. One side was thicker than the other. Neither patty was well-'carmelized' (2) Fries were great. Only tweak is that they were a little 'smoker salted' (over salted). (3) I had to spit out a few pieces of burger that were really hard and I was unable to chew them. It was like super-tough little pieces of meat. Ive had this happen with store bought beef in the past that I've cooked. Sometimes cant be avoided, but it wasnt fun.
Service: (1) Service was very weak. Some guy was litterally grunt-yelling very loudly and negatively trying to scoop ice cream out of a frozen-solid ice cream bucket. (2) The person who took my order could not manage to repeat my order back to me correctly. She kept saying I ordered two ranches, but I had one fry sauce and one aoili. I was being very pleasant and we got the order right. (3) Once the place died down, the workers were loud and yelling and being ridiuclous. It didnt sound like fun ridiculous either. With no customers in the store, no one came out and cleaned tables for the ~ hour we were there. (4) No one said hello or bye when we enetered or left. When we left there was no line and people watched us leave silently. (5) When I got my food, the guy who gave it to me didnt smile or acknowledge me at all
I will try this Copperline again, but tonight was a...
Read moreMe and my wife ordered our food at6:50pm, one chicken sandwich and one pork chop sandwich. The website told us that it would be ready around 7:17 pm. We decided to drive around for some time and headed in to the restaurant to pick our order up at 7:20 pm, we walked in knowing that it would be a little after the estimated pick up time. When we got to the counter we were told it’s not quite ready so it will be a few minutes (which was no problem at all) so we go and sit down and wait for our order. Well 20 minutes go by and we were still waiting on our order, about 15-20 minutes later a few people walk in, order and sit down. As we are still waiting their food comes out and is ready. When this happens we are very confused because it’s been a little over 40 minutes now and we are still waiting for our order while others who have walked in well after us received theirs. We decided to go up and ask if our order was ready and the lady at the counter hands us our bag. We get to our car and open our food to find our fries cold and soggy, my wife’s chicken sandwich luke warm and soggy, my pork chop sandwich was the same. To add on to it all we had asked for mayo and mustard on our sandwiches and there was no mayo or mustard on them. So not only did we wait close to an hour for our food but it was cold, soggy and no sauces. Probably won’t return to this restaurant for some time, definitely not worth the wait not worth the money and not worth my...
