Golden Chinese Buffet — Restaurant in Helena

I got there at 6:15 PM. There was no food in the buffet. I should have checked before I paid for my to go dinners, so that is my fault. The woman would come and check the buffet and say, Oh my God, because all of them were still empty. No one brought any food out for almost 15 minutes. I was waiting for the golden chicken and the peppered chicken. It took 30 minutes for them to get those out. I was pushing the top of my Box down and she came over and belittled me and tried to embarrass me. Screaming, that lid won't go on and then I showed her it did she took my food from me? Ran to the front. Refused to give my food to me. I asked for my money back 3 times took my dollar bill out of the tip jar because it's a buffet. I'm normally a really good tipper for good servers. She refused to give my money back. I threw my dollar back in the tip jar and walked towards the door to walk out of the restaurant.She said, "don't you want your food customer." Seriously? After all, that you refused to give be my money back. You took my food from me after embarrassing me in front of everyone, and then when you really realize I'm angry enough I'm leaving your establishment. Then you offer me my food that I've already paid for ??? I will NEVER Set foot in this place again. I DON'T DO REVIEWS UNLESS THEY'RE GOOD REVIEWS. BECAUSE I AM ALSO A BUSINESS OWNER AND I KNOW HOW HARD PEOPLE WORK RUNNING SMALL BUSINESSES, THIS IS THE ONLY EXCEPTION I'VE EVER MADE. I have been to allot of restaurants in allot of towns but this place takes the cake in being a health hazard to the community. I went to eat there at 5:30pm on a Saturday night and there were few people there. I looked at the bar and almost left because the food on it was old like it had been on the heat table since lunch ended. There were a couple of items that did not look half bad though and the noodles were ok as well as the rice. I went ahead and ate but could only find two meats I would risk my life eating and after one plate I decided it was enough and paid out. As I walked to the register I noticed the lady WAS POURING WATER INTO THE OLD FOOD DISHES AND MIXING THEM TO MAKE THEM LOOK FRESH AGAIN!!!! What???? Who does that???? Some of this stuff was seafood too! I must mention as well the soups and sweet sauce were all disgusting looking and one of them for a lack of better definition, looked like a toilet at Taco Bell. I also noticed NO ONE else working, no one coming from the back to freshen the food, no one was cleaning tables or refilling drinks. It was just this one lady and she was doing everything in her power to make old and expired food get eaten. Unless this place changes ownership I HIGHLY ADVISE you be careful eating there if you must.

May be better at dinner?? Had the $14 lunch buffet which was disappointing. FOOD: The buffet didn't have any of my three, favorite go-to's that made me want to get Chinese (Chinese garlic green beans, Szechuan beef, and big egg rolls.) They had the little "Spring Rolls" but they seemed like something out of the grocery store freezer section, as did the pot stickers, which, like almost everything else I tried seemed to be warmed over to the point of being hard and dry. I could not even pierce the 'General's Chicken' with my fork, which made me feel guilty for leaving a pile of uneaten food on my plate (when I got to the register and saw the handwritten "Please don't waste food/Eat what you take" sign by the register.) SERVICE: The one server was friendly and very 'active', but took longer than normal to bring me the wrong drink. (I perused the whole buffet, filled my plate, and got to my table and still had to wait a few minutes for the wrong drink (and the table next to me had to ask for a straw, but I got two for my one drink.) There were only 3 tables at the time, but almost every other table had dirty dishes and food scraps lowering the 'atmosphere rating, but suggesting they have a decent lunch crowd (and they could use a bus boy.) There were mixed reviews so I may have caught them on a bad day, but unfortunately I would not go back and would not recommend...
