The two stars deserve an explanation. I ordered a waffle breakfast. It was not good at all. The waffle was heavy and dense, the meat was cold and had to be reheated. My wife had a sandwich and soup. It was good. Not stellar but good, very difficult to digest however. It is a self serve place. You order at the counter, clean up you table, if you want a refill on your coffee you need to ask at the counter and of course, wait your turn if there is a line in front of you. Water is available for you to help yourself, the same is true for syrup and cream. I do not mind at all, the problem is that you pay when you order your food. At that time you are invited to select a tip between 15% and 20+%. I am usually a good tipper (20%+). I find this inappropriate. You cannot ask for a full tip if you do not provide a full service. Many menu options were not available. I understand, but there is a large board as you enter the place. These limitations should be mentioned there and not communicated to you after you made your choice. There are people behind you and you are rushed into changing quickly your order obviously choosing...

A little feedback for Claire: food was still amazing, but the service really lacked today. We came in at 2:30, granted close to when y'all close but still plenty of time for a sit down meal. We weren't greeted well and could tell they were eager to get out of there. Once we sat down we heard we were the last order and they locked up the door. By 2:45 we received our food while they were mopping up around us. Not a very friendly environment after paying for a quality meal. People even tried to come in after us since y'all were technically still open. We were out of there before 3 but just wish we could have enjoyed our meal with better service and not the mopping while we were eating. We will come back as the food was amazing! Just want to be able to visit during any open hour and still receive quality...
Read moreMaybe we just got two of the less flavorful sandwiches. They could have been so good, but they just lacked seasoning (honestly a bit more salt would have helped).
The egg and sausage sandwich was lackluster. Barely any sauce, and the sausage was actually ground into the egg. The only real flavor you got was when you’d get a small bite of sausage.
The pork and apple sandwich was huge, but it was very dry. We asked for more chutney and they were very kind to bring it. The chutney itself was delicious, but the pork tasted like it maybe had only seen a couple grains of salt. Flavorless, again.
The service was excellent, but unfortunately the food was boring and wouldn’t bring me back. Probably just should have gone with the less subtle chicken...
