I first want to say I'm a big fan of this chain, and I really enjoy the food quality and service at the Great Falls location.
There's a bunch of things that happened here that really upset me. The first is that I tried to use the app to order the Steak Teriyaki, and it would not allow me to place the order. I found that to be really frustrating and I proceeded to just order a two protein bowl with chicken teriyaki and orange chicken, and I selected the option to get 3oz of Katsu chicken on top of the other two proteins.
I arrived at the location around 20 minutes after the order was placed (amount of time the app told me to wait), and there wasn't anybody inside other than the staff and my order still wasn't ready. I noticed the staff was joking around, on their phones, and doing horseplay in the kitchen which I found to be really unprofessional. My food came out after around five minutes of waiting and I drove all the way home to eat it. I noticed when I opened my bowl there wasn't any Spicy teriyaki chicken which was hugely frustrating since I originally wanted spicy chicken and steak and now I had neither. I instead had to eat the deep fried battered options which I don't like as much.
I called them and they offered to make me my side of spicy chicken. They called it a "free side" as if they were being nice, but I paid for it so I was upset. When I went down to the shop they were still screwing around and being unprofessional. I inquired about why I couldn't order steak and they told me they were out days ago but they hadn't updated the app. This is where things got crazy.
I was standing in line and a customer and his family walked in, as he opened the front door a panel of glass that had been poorly taped with painting tape to the frame of the entrance fell and cut his leg. He had about a two inch long laceration on his leg and he started bleeding. Not only did the staff not properly do their job when it came to food but they also put people's in risk of injury. They are so lucky that guy didn't sue them, they'd have a bad lawsuit on their hands. Not to mention if this is how the staff acts with zero attention to detail, no respect for customers safety and zero passion for their work, how do they treat food storage and contamination safety?
I've spent years of my life working in catering and restaurants and I know how hard and stressful restaurant work can be. But this place is ticking time bomb and a public safety hazard. I'm never going back here. I would probably eat here twice a month for years if the service was good. Thanks I'll keep my money and stay...

The food here is actually really solid no complaints there. But I had a frustrating experience with their digital gift card system that left a bad taste in my mouth, and it took escalating the issue through official channels to finally get it addressed.
To be clear, the gift card didn’t work despite multiple attempts, and I had to pay out of pocket while getting vague or incorrect information from staff. That alone was enough to sour the whole situation. But to their credit, the owner reached out personally, took full responsibility, and followed through to resolve it. That’s more than a lot of places would do.
I still think they need to improve communication, train staff better, and avoid promoting gift cards or deals they aren’t ready to honor but I’m glad to see accountability from the top. Hopefully they continue moving in the right direction, because Helena does deserve better and this place has the potential to be it.
This place went downhill fast.
Portion sizes keep shrinking, but prices stay the same — or go up. They run promos like “free bowl,” but force you to buy two $3 fountain drinks. You’re not saving anything. Add in the tip prompt at checkout before service, and it feels more like a hustle than a restaurant.
But here’s what really pushed me to leave this review:
I bought a $50 digital gift card because of their “bonus” promo. I tried using it three different times, and it failed every single time. The staff finally admitted they’re not even set up to accept gift cards yet. So why are they still selling them?
I had to pay out of pocket again each time just to avoid looking broke while treating someone else. Total scam.
I filed a chargeback with my credit card company and hope Teriyaki Madness gets slammed with fees for knowingly selling a product they can’t deliver.
Bottom line: – Portions are smaller – Prices are high – Tips expected before service – Gift cards are worthless – Staff admits they can’t even redeem what they sell

Read moreI called prior in the day for a gluten-free allergy question. And I was met with Wendy, who made it very clear that she did not want to be in the phone very long as evidenced by her tone, her hanging up on me mid sentence as soon as my gluten question was answered, before I asked my 2nd question. I suppose dismissal is a company core value? Neat. Next, I have to wait almost an hour after food was supposed to be delivered for it to actually get to me. I open the package and I'm missing a third of my food. Now my kids are upset at their meal not being delivered. I call to let them know it was missing and I am again met with Wendy on the phone. She questioned me on having missing food stating "I bagged your food, so what exactly are you missing?" With a tone as if I am pulling a fast one on her. So now we assume the customer is always wrong? Never been to an establishment like that before. I explained what I am missing and what I got. She told me to come get it. Normally I wouldn't care but I ordered delivery for a reason right?? Guess my I'll pay the delivery fee to pick up my food. I come down to get my food and instead of complaining about it, I just grabbed my food and left. Before handing me my food, in an effort to save face, she gives me free food cards and everyone waiting in the lobby. It was cool of her to give them out but they are wasted with me as I won't be back for anything here ever again. I get having bad days, I get being rushed. But if you can't have basic customer service skills, you probably shouldn't work customer service.
And the icing on the cake, I find out after coming home, my drink never came with my order either. I was too busy figuring it out for my kids I didn't check my items either.
If you like Teriyaki, great food. If you like customer service, this is not the restaurant you are looking for Included is a picture of my counter, where my drink and the missing food would have been had it come on time, or for that...
