I’ve been eating at this place since I was a kid, so I’m biased, but this is my absolute favorite restaurant. However, I understand the negative reviews since this is nothing like your typical Chinese restaurant. China’s a big place with different styles - this isn’t the typical Cantonese like in most of the US, or TV dinner style like Jade Garden. These are in my family’s standard rotation: Double cooked pork cabbage Cashew chicken Pork chow mein Almond chicken Pork fried rice The top 3 are vegetable-heavy. The egg rolls are very unique, and fairly greasy - just a heads up. It seems like they have a core base of recurring customers who probably make up the majority of their sales. People who like it will subscribe for life, but many probably never come back.

I was very hopeful for some Chinese food but I have to report that all parts of this meal were disappointing. Eggs rolls should be called burnt flats, fried wontons were fried at least for 3 hours. Chow meón had no meat and the fried rice was burnt and tasted burnt. All for nearly $40

Ordered Pork Chow Mein and the result is attached to this review. Hardly any meat (it’s hard to tell it is truly pork), 90% celery, and no noodles. We also ordered Kung Pao chicken and we must have gotten someone else’s entree.

It truly was the worst dinner ever. I ordered almond chicken and they gave me something I couldn't describe. All thigh and leg meat and get this, with the skin on. Fried wonton were hug flat over cooked brittle somethings. What they called sweet and sour sauce took 3 flushes in the John at water line level to disappear. Like a glob of Jelly fish. And they have been in business for over 40 years. And finally, after 40 plus years of Helena business the lady understood virtually no English. Tried to pay her a complement and she had not a clue what that was or what my comment was. I am 76 yrs old and have traveled our country and western Canada extensively so know what I'm saying. Spent $27 dollars and left a tip for the worst meal ever. PS Their clothing was also filthy. Hope I don't die of food...

We were driving through town and looking for something to eat. I saw Wong's pop up on my phone as a close option and thought, what the heck. We are on vacation and my husband loves Chinese food. We stopped in after a 5 hour drive and realized it was not a sit down restaurant. The owner graciously let us sit down to eat our hot food on the waiting chairs and even brought us out a tray table for our small family to gather round. This was hands down the BEST Chinese food we have ever had in our lives! It was fresh and light. Not at all the heavy, greasy Chinese cuisine I've grown to avoid. Being from California we have every kind of Asain cuisine to choose from, and this quick pop in blew all our CA options out of the water. The hospitaly and delicious meal were so greatly...
