Beer Mussels Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hellertown

Bio says where friends meet, absolutely wrong. Allison is the worst bartender/server I have ever come across in all of the United States. A group of friends came in to meet and she refused to serve one in our group because he put his musikfest cups on the bar (just so he was not holding them) I don't know why she was so upset about that, when she is holding one in her profile picture and even if it was "slammed" as she said. how hard can you really slam empty plastic cups in a loud bar? after, charging my other friend for a few beers she then responded by taking the beers away from infront of her because she didn't want said person drinking. after we all walked outside, I precided to walk inside calmly just to ask what was wrong, what we can do and if we can receive some type of compensation back for the beers that were purchased and taken back for whatever horrible Allison had. I was replied back to from another bartender that Allison had "went home" and they were not sure what was going on. The manager or owner I suppose? walked right past me and not once did stop to ask or help me. super unprofessional on the manager or owners part. As a bartender, you should be taught to deescalate not instigate situations and drama but then to call the police and go home? I recommend not coming here, extremely horrible customer service and this is the first bad review I have ever...

Let me tell you something, this place? It’s a damn oasis in Hellertown. You walk in expecting your typical small-town bar, but you get a whole different story. The beer selection? Top-notch, way better than you’d expect for a spot like this.

The food? Better than it needs to be. And here’s the kicker... it’s made by the bartender you ordered it from! No full kitchen staff, no big operation, just a bartender hustling their ass off, and still cranking out food that blows a lot of full kitchens out of the water.

If assholes could fly, this place would be an airport. But I’ll say it straight: the staff here? Unbelievable. Every bartender is a pro, on their game, hustling, making sure the customers are taken care of.

Now, I’m not crazy about the country music that’s cranked up too loud sometimes, but hey, the Scottish Fold cat that strolls through and greets the patrons? That’s a vibe. Makes up for the loud tunes.

Bottom line: I love this place. I’ll go to bat for it every single time, because it’s better than it has any right to be. For a small-town bar? It’s exceptional, and that’s thanks to the people running it.

Kelsey is the absolute worse bartender. She is rude and unprofessional. My friends and I go there at least weekly, spend good money and leave better than adequate tips. I’m not sure what the problem was but she is horrible. She refused to serve us making up some story about us laughing at her. Although she admits we’ve always paid our tab she refused to serve us. I honestly think it’s a racial thing with her. There’s no other explanation but thanks to her we won’t be back. Beer mussels just lost loyal customers and I’m sure we’re not the only ones...
