My boyfriend and I were in the area and stopped in because this is the only place I've ever seen with both gluten-free and vegan options for their sandwiches, plus the pictures looked great.
The service and atmosphere were good, it was a slow time of day and there were maybe only 3 other people in the restaurant. Nice and clean, no issues to report. The bathroom was freezing but clean, and had lots of dragon decor...which was strange considering the rest of the restaurant, but okay I guess.
We both got the Royale with Cheese, his was regular with a double patty, and mine was gluten-free with vegan cheese. He got fries and I got the GF onion rings.
Sadly, for a place dubbed "the flavor lab", I have to honestly say that the burger patties were literally unseasoned and dry. My boyfriend was very disappointed that he had to salt pretty much every bite even though the burger had double cheese, mustard, ketchup, mayo, and buffalo sauce on it. I'm not as particular about the salt/flavor content, but even I had to salt all the layers of my burger to get any flavor out of it. Also, there wasn't a crispiness or depth of flavor to the patty, I think the fat ratio in the beef was too lean.
The onion rings were alright, but oily and under-seasoned, plus the upgrade only included about 5 rings. The only tasty items were the fries and cold brew coffee.
Honestly, a 2.5/5 for us, but maybe the demographic there prefers less flavor? I'm not really sure though. Maybe the chicken sandwiches would have been better, although if half of your menu is burgers, and those aren't great, I'm not so sure the chicken will be either. I hate leaving bad reviews as a business owner myself, but it's better to know and re-adjust than to keep putting out a bad product. Best of luck...
Read moreWe wanted to try something new. This place popped up and looked good. When we walked in and saw we had to fill out our own order on paper then hand it in we were like “um ok different but ok” then a waitress came over anyway. She talked as long explaining what to do she could have just taken our order. Seems like a waste of paper and time to fill out for every single person. I’d hate to be a mom there with a couple of kids to order for. We walked the papers up and stood in line to hand them in. Then stood there while she entered the information. Just seemed annoying to do all this extra work to order food. So the food came at in a good timeframe. We tried the onion rings. The batter was unique like light and crispy but onion was not existent. We were kind of grossed out that they were literally dripping in grease when we took them out of the little basket. The burgers came out. They were definitely not seasoned at all. I kept smelling mine cause the meat tasted weird. I saw my daughter smell hers too.. We brought a chicken sandwich home for family member who said it was under seasoned as well and didn’t have tomato on it like I put on the paper. The whole experience was a bummer. I was definitely shocked when I went up to the register and our bill was $63…. $63 for some crappy food. Plus I’m expected to leave a tip?!? A tip to fill out my own order form, walk it up to order, stand in line to stand there watching her type it in the computer, get my own drink and come to the register to pay… Ughhhh. I feel like we could have gone to Wendy’s 3 blocks up for 1/2 the price and gotten better food and less confusion...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Drip and it was an experience that went beyond my expectations. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the chicken sandwich. It wasn't just any sandwich; the chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, while remaining succulent and flavorful on the inside. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes, making it a standout dish.
Before diving into the main course, I indulged in their appetizers - a decision I'm glad I made. The onion rings were a revelation, with a golden, crunchy exterior giving way to sweet, tender onions. They were a bit greasy but delicious. Equally impressive were the pretzels, which came with a rich, creamy cheese sauce. The pretzels themselves had a delightful chewiness and a subtle hint of saltiness, which paired wonderfully with the smooth cheese sauce.
An unexpected surprise was the bathroom decor. It's not often that you find a restaurant paying such detailed attention to the restrooms. The unique and quirky decor was a topic of conversation and added an extra layer of charm to the overall experience.
In conclusion, Drip delivered not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience. From the crispy chicken sandwich to the delightful appetizers and the surprising bathroom decor, every aspect was thoughtfully executed. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a...
