La Kang Hot Pot — Restaurant in Hellertown

My son and I met at Kang Thai Hot Pot for an amazing dinner! The atmosphere was peaceful and we had the entire 2nd floor all to ourselves. Tony was the most gracious and informative host explaining how the meal works. First we had the appetizers: french fries, mango salad (my fav), seaweed salad (2nd fav) and breaded chicken. We each chose a broth, Tom Yuh and Tem La Poh and we had pork belly, flank steak and shrimp to cook in the broth. Yum. We added noodles, veggies, etc from the salad bar to our broths. The jasmine and garlic rice were awesome too. Then it was time for grilling and we decided on marinated short ribs, strip steak and beef skewers. So good with the 3 dipping sauces. Chimichurri (my fav) Thai BBQ (2nd fav) and I can't remember the name of the last one, but they were all amazing. Then for dessert we grilled some pineapple (didn't have any room for other dessert). I recently visited La Kang Pot for my sister-in-law's birthday party, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional. Zee and Tony were incredible hosts—so friendly, attentive, and always making sure everyone had what they needed. They truly made the experience so much fun, adding an extra element of energy and excitement to the evening.

The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. The combination of hot pot and grilling was such a unique and fun way to dine. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and top-notch—each dish exceeded expectations. The variety of options made it easy to enjoy something for everyone in our group.

"Thai Tony" (chef-owner) cooks 4 different and amazing soup-base broths for hot pots. There are lots of fresh veggies, noodles, proteins, etc. to choose from, to create your own hot pot. There is also a grill built into the center of each table. Wow!
