Happened upon this place searching for ANYTHING different than what we have in Youngstown! ANYTHING!
Finally finding the place, we were a bit taken aback by the location (a long dead stripmall) and just 3 cars out front. This is usually a bad sign, especially where a buffet is concerned. Entering, your greet quickly and taken to a table to get situated. Walking by "the locals" you began wondering if maybe, you should have stayed home.
Walking up to the buffet we were instantly taken with minor regret, wondering if we'd wasted out time. So, 'so far' it's NOT looking good! More than half the containers were empty. Seeing our dismay, two young ladies said, "Wait! More food coming!" I have to tell you, it was worth the wait!
Full flavors, nothing overcooked or overly seasoned and prepared in a way that the flavors almost burst in your mouth! WHAT A TREAT! Granted, the don't have a HUGE buffet selection and only the peanut butter chicken, the hot & sour soup and the egg rolls were a disappointment for me BUT everything else was pretty damn good! Some of the best pepper chicken, General Tso' s and Pork w/mushrooms I've ever had. I do advise NOT to try the attempt at sushi. You'd be better of with a piece of gum and not be surprised by the consistency, lol.
All in all a good trip. Granted, it's not worth the trip ALL the way from Youngstown BUT it's better than most of the Chinese restaurants we have there. That's says a lot. Go on and give...
ย ย ย Read moreWanted to try a new place and after reading the reviews felt confident it would be a good choice. It was great. No regrets. While it is a small location, it was delicious and well stocked. There are not as many tables of food but what I are made it worthwhile. All the usual china buffet choices and each was fresh, and hot. The pans might not have been "full" but they kept them replenished quickly. I personally prefer small batches of fresh cooked food than an hours old batch of anytime left to over cook whole being picked over. Overall, the options were delicious and nothing ran out. Service was good and the entire place was clean and well taken care of. I would go back and...
ย ย ย Read moreI agree with some of the reviews. This place is in a dead strip mall. It doesn't look much, a few other businesses hanging on for their dear life, a few cars parked in the front, so you immediately think its a bad choice. It definitely was not!. The food was great and full of flavors. Yes, the buffet line was minimal as if it were the end of the day, and they are not making anymore. But if you ask, they would make you some more. So, in a way, it's fresh. I think they do that, so its not wasteful. I did notice that people come and go to pick up food. There's not much in Greenville, PA, but this chinese buffet is one of the best ones. I recommend you go in and...
