This afternoon I came in to help a friend haul his yard tractor he just purchased. The sales clerk was helpful at first, until we realized a clip was missing. No big deal, just wanted to see if we can get a replacement ordered or whatnot. He accused us of breaking it! He claimed that the store just got a shipment in an hour before my friend purchased the tractor and that he put the tractor together. Well starters, I work for retail (an Assistant Manager) and I WOULD NEVER ACCUSE A CUSTOMER OF BREAKING SOMETHING. Two, you don't put tractors together, they come prefabbed in a crate or it comes off the trailer. Three, that guy needs some proper customer service training. I didn't get 18 of high energy suet cakes so when I complained they refunded me everything but the sales tax. Returned 36 other suet cakes because they were smashed or broken in pieces. They did not credit me for 3 cakes because "it missed the cutoff". I called the customer service 3 times and get dropped everytime. I contact them via their web site which they are suppose to response to in 2 days. I have done this at least 6 times. Only got one response back. Got a reply from the owner to call but I don't have 20 minutes to spend on hold waiting for someone to pick up the phone. And each time it has been invalid. Either he is overworked and doesn't want to be there, or he is in the wrong line of work. Managers are supposed to be the end all for any customer questions.
