Very disappointed. Read reviews and had really high hopes for this restaurant, it was beyond disappointing. Went to the one off green valley. The place was clean, that was about the only pro. I got shwarma fries and she got a vegie shwarma plate. Looked good, but was far from it. Place was completely empty, now i know why. We went in at 2pm on a Saturday.
Shwarma plate: Vegitables were old and not fresh. Salad dressing was sour and oily. Falafel was dense, seemed frozen and microwaved, absolutely not fresh or made to order. Dolmas were a few days old, grape wrapper was chewy and inedible. Quinoa salad was okay, hummus seemed old and was without flavor. They forgot the pita, went back to get it, atleast they didnt charge for it. Didnt finish half of it before stopping.
Shwarma fries with everything: thick cut steak fries were warm but not crispy at all, they seemed microwaved. Were not fresh and were not handcut, frozeb all the way. Microwaved frozen fries, yummy. An overwhelming amount of hot sauce, little if any Tahini sauce. Tomatoes were old snd hsd been in a fridge for a while. Generous proportion of meat, but an odd flavor and chewy consistency. Stoppes eating halfway thru.
Soda machine had only one working tap (sierra mist), ice tea was out of service. Water worked though.
The employees seemed to be hating life. Nothing plesant from the woman who took our order, she seemed like she was hating being there during both when she took our order and gave us our food. The second employee came back from lunch when we were eating, face mask around his chin. While he was behind counter, working by food, that mask never came up to cover any part of his mouth or nose.
Again, i had high expectations but this place really fell short on service, food quality and execution. I usually give the place the benefit of the doubt, but this establishment...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe honestly really want to love this place but it's always a slight miss. I figure they have one more chance so I may update this review later. Basically, I'll say you should give them a try (I'm not ready to say you should skip this place) but go in with moderate expectations. As far as my experiences, I've been twice and had both the shawarma and rotisserie chicken pitas where my wife has had the veggie platter and falafel pita. For both meat sandwiches, the meat portions were (over?) generous (literally a pile of meat in a pita) and the sauces were good (but not great). I honestly love pickled turnips and they are good here but just a little too heavy handed with the horseradish to enjoy fully. The falafel is good but, again, not great. The best thing on the menu so far (and it really is quite good) has been the cheese Boreg... And I'm realizing now that they didn't include the one I paid for in my last order; well that sucks, too late now. On that note, sides and desserts also fall into the "just ok" realm with baklava that was good the first time (if a little dry) but soggy the second time. The shredded filo Ashta was nice but the sweetness was much too subtle next to the strong flavors of this cuisine. I'm kinda hoping they are just having some growing pains but I'm really not going to be giving them too many...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt first when they started everything was great but from great to zero ????? I am talking about the store in green way first store they opened . It is April 2/2019 and this is my fourth time my chicken is not cooked all bloody inside one time it was over cooked burned . Four times I had to trash it and on March 29 I went to get a chicken but I was told it takes an hour but he have 3 that where cooked earlier , I asked to see it and it looked saggy and sick so I did not buy it . Guys remember if this store keeps running this way they will close and run out of business, I hope someone watches it close and pay attention to how they run this store plus one guy has to be polite and not pushy aggressive a Hispanic guy . I was going to ask for where can I contact the owner . I know he is Armenian Lebanese and hate to see this place going down . His Chicken is much better from Zanku Chicken in California. But if it keeps running the way it is now this store will close . I am looking for another location to try since I gave up with the location on green rd area Henderson . It takes me half an hour to get there and then I have to go back home empty . No food . I always buy extra Baba Ganouj or Humos and Tabouli and other items where I always spend around 40-50 Dollars . Hope someone reads this and take...
