Francisco's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Henderson

A friend and I went to Francisco's last week. I hadn't eaten in a restaurant for awhile, and neither had my friend. We went to this restaurant because we wanted some good Mexican food and because they are Christian-based. Since we were having a late lunch, there were only a few other people there. My friend and I couldn't afford much, and my friend was having a hard time finding something cheap to eat. A couple next to us overheard and said they were going to pay for our meal. We were so grateful! We still didn't want to get anything expensive, so we split a guacamole. I got the Daily Special, which was one enchilada (choice of shredded chicken or shredded pork?), choice of topping, (I don't remember them all), and rice and beans for $5.95. I told my friend that I thought I remembered that the guacamole scoops were big, but my!, they were so small 😔! My friend wanted to eat mine too, LOL. We couldn't eat the salsa because it was too spicy hot for us, so I asked the waitress if the "green sauce" was spicy hot, and she said that it was. I shared my lunch with my friend, and then we splurged and got a Sopapilla. All of the food was really good and so was the dessert! We thanked the couple who paid for our lunch and left full! Lets start off with. The hostess didn't come great us for almost ten minutes. She said " I didn't want to come up here, because we were out of tables. But now we have some." Then lets go a few moments later. We've been seated, and have ordered our food. Everything was good. Service was a little slow. But hey what can you expect. Ten table's and one waitress doing it all, including busting the tables. Anyways, our food arrived. Looks great. I reminded them of my tortillas. They walked over to a little grill. Picked a holder, already had tortillas in it, put them back on the grill 30 sec at my table. Pulled one out. It was stal and soggy. Deffenittly tell they had been heated, re-heated, and then heated again. One more thing and I'll be done. My dinner was supposed to have potatoes in it. Which were there in a crinkle cut fry way. I ordered the carne Gasada, Beef and potato stew. So to say the least, it kinda killed...

We love this place!! My son and I have come here for years and it’s always great food. As usual at any Mexican restaurant I got the fajitas and they are always my favorite. The salsa here to us is the best though. Very good flavor and texture. The staff are always fantastic. They know us well enough that they never give us a menu. We get the same thing every time and they just tell us to sit wherever and start bringing our drinks with chips and salsa and then put our order in. Always quick service as well.
