I am incredibly disappointed. I chose this place for Mother’s Day brunch after rave reviews from neighbors and friends. Leading up to the date, the restaurant staff was responsive and accommodating, we had to make a couple of changes to the reservation and they were wonderful about it.
We were seated in Lexie’s Hideaway, a semi private room toward the back. As we were a larger party (9) it seemed like a perfect place, away from most of the hustle and bustle. Unfortunately, that may be why our server forgot about us.
For whatever reason, his tables appeared to be us and then a section on the other end of the restaurant. He had to spend a lot of time taking care of those other tables, presumably, because he barely took care of us. Trey was friendly and polite, and any backup at the bar or in the kitchen is definitely not his fault, but his failure to communicate those delays to us is his responsibility.
The drinks were incredibly slow to come out, the food moved at a glacial pace. We sat for over an hour, no offer to refill waters, no crackers or bread, or even an explanation WHY we were sitting, hungry, for so long, when every other table in our little room (different server) was fed and saw their server many times. If we saw Trey seven times in the over TWO HOURS we were there, I’m being generous.
When the food finally came (after I talked to the hostess about bringing us something because we were starving) it was incorrect, the portions were tiny for the price, and most of the dishes were bland. My daughter ordered chicken tenders, she got a grilled chicken filet, two side dishes were missing, and MY main dish was missing.
I don’t recall anyone refilling our drinks without us asking, there was no salt and pepper on the table to help season the food (and it needed help), and we had to remind them to finally bring the check.
The crazy thing is, the restaurant was not packed. It was just terrible service.
Like I said:...
Read moreHaving heard good reviews from friends a while back, an other couple and myself decided to go to Lexie's for dinner on Saturday March 8th. Our reservations were for 17:30. Upon our arrival, the restaurant was not busy at all, but since it was early, not unusual. We were seated and approached promptly by a Server, and were told immediately, that they were out of Filet Mignon. Remember, this is Saturday night, the reason given was, that they were working on the new Spring menu. There is absolutely no excuse for not having this popular item at any time. I ordered Carpacio, and have no idea what meat they used. It was not thin sliced beef, but a processed meat, sliced on a machine, and had no flavor. The flavor it did have, were the pieces of Parmagiano, Capers, Balsamic glaze and the chopped parsley. The portion size, although listed as an appetizer, was extremely large, but could not make up for the missing beef. For dessert, we tried the Canoles, they were as disappointing as the main course, beginning with the shell, and the flavorless filling. By now it was 19:00, and maybe 6 tables occupied. The manager was running back and forth, with a silent butler, but never approached any of the tables. Upon leaving, I asked if they were expecting to be busy, and was told no. That was no surprise, given the quality of the food. The setting is stunning, particularly the patio. The Server and her helper did a good job, and were uncomfortable with having to make excuses. It is sad to have such a potentially great spot mismanaged. Maybe the Chef resigned, but what ever the reason, there are too many other excellent restaurants...
Read moreThis was my first time dining in this place. I felt everything was a little over priced but my sister has been there a few times and she liked the place. We were there for my niece’s birthday. Everything was fine until the end of the dinner. My niece spitted out something really hard she chewed. It was hard plastic pieces. 2 of them. One of them shaped like pyramid. You could see clearly it was broken pieces of black plastic. So we called the server and told her. She brought the manager over and handed the pieces on a small plate. He went back to the kitchen and came back and first thing came out of his mouth was “ this is definitely not something came from our kitchen”. What????? So my sister asked him to take a look at the surveillance camera which it was like 5 feet away from our table. He said it must came from manufacture of spinach they used. What??? So they used spinach without washing? It went on without hearing any apology. We got very upset. Then the manager had a nerve to say “ so do you want free dessert or take this order off from the bill?” What in the hell did he ever get his position as a manager? No sorry no nothing but treated like we wanted a free dinner. That was a such an insult. So my sister pointed out that he did not apologize of this matter. He stood there keep arguing. Unbelievable!!! It looked like a nice high-end restaurant with high priced food and the worst customer service! And clearly they don’t wash their ingredients for the food they cook. I do not recommend this place and I would never...
