I have been a customer for a year now. Today was the day that made me decide to never return. The service was AWFUL! My party of 4 came into the restaurant at 8:05pm and we left at 9:45pm. Let me start by telling you about our server(on the receipt is says Alexis but not sure if this is his name). He had my group and another large group of all women on the patio. He took our drink orders 15minutes after we were seated, the drinks were brought to us once I tried to cancel my order due to avoid being full. He then brought out drinks after 30 minutes!!!!!! The only reason he brought them was because I asked if the drinks were not ready if he could cancel. Now, my frustrations did not begin there as I assumed they may have been backed up. My real frustrations began after we waited an hour after we ordered our food to actually get it. He completely forgot. The busser stopped by to bus our tables of the chips and beans and said if we enjoyed our meal. My friend said is our food ready? He was so shocked that we had not received our food and brought it out immediately. This was the busser and not the server. The server returned and asked if we needed anything and I asked for queso and sour cream. Another 15 minutes goes by, he stops at the other table with the group of women who have all received their food and now we’re just finishing up. He went over and they were flirting with him and he was with them. He said he was married, but he also said “ you girls are crazy, I mean really crazy”. He was blatantly going out of his way to talk to these women and continued to forget about us. After he passed by I asked for the second time if he could just cancel the sour cream and cheese because at that point my food was already cold. He now came back with the sour cream and cheese and I already told him I no longer wanted it, he walked away with an attitude. Now came time for our checks. He did not even ask if we needed anything else instead assumed we would all pay with one check and brought us the bill. Once I mentioned if we could split it, he said he didn’t know because we didn’t ask before. Typically you ask if the group needs anything else then they can disclose how they’d like their checks. I also asked for take out boxes and containers and he took his time. Right as we were leaving I took a peek into the restaurant from the patio and saw maybe two other tables had people. He deliberately took his time and did not care about us. Instead he chose to flirt with the other table, and point blank told me he would get back to me after he was done talking to the other group. This was the most unprofessional, awful waste of money I have ever gone through. Will never return, please tell your servers to be better. I am in the hospitality industry and work on the strip for a big corporation. This is absolutely...
Read moreLove the food, great taste, great presentation, overall chef’s, awesome food. But service REALLY BAD, huge disappointment. Today 03/30 is my wife’s B-day. Two days in advance I call in to make a reservation for 7:00pm it’s all set. My two kids, my wife and I arrive and there is no reservation under my name, they even say “maybe you called a different location” and I show them my call log on my phone and there’s no mistake on my part. They say no worries we will have a table set in 10 to 15 minutes and I’ll be getting a text. 30 minutes later I get a text and it still takes then 10 minutes to get us seated. Finally seated we know what we’ll be ordering to make it fast, since we are now hungry. 45 minutes to get our dinner and within that time 3 bowls of chips due to the wait time. Over the wait time, my older son goes over to the front and let’s the front know it’s his mom’s birthday. Later while having dinner I go to the front and let them know it’s my wife’s birthday and the front says she’s going to speak to my waiter. We are done having dinner, ask for boxes, check, I pay and still nothing. Meanwhile since we got there 5 other tables got celebrated for birthdays but not us. After paying and signed my tab and tips I go to the front once again and even spoke directly to the waiter that nothing has happened and we are about to leave. I see them gather up and they go and sing to a table next to us, that got seated way after we got there. REALLY, TOTALLY IGNORED. I definitely spoke with the manager JULIO who offered me some margaritas for which I rejected since I don’t drink, but total...
Read moreI’m writing to share a recent dining experience at Lindo Michoacan in Henderson, Nevada, and let’s just say it wasn’t the smoothest ride.
So, a little backstory – about a week after our lunch there on August 14th, one of my friends was checking her credit card statement and guess what? She spots a double charge from Lindo Michoacan. Yeah, you read that right. Intrigued by this unexpected financial twist, she alerted the rest of us. Lo and behold, four out of five of us were victims of the double-charge debacle.
Being the proactive bunch we are, we thought, “Hey, let’s give them a call and sort this out.” Not expecting miracles, we just wanted a genuine apology and maybe some explanation. But, surprise surprise, the manager pulled a “not-our-fault” card, blaming the bank for the mishap. Ugh, talk about a letdown. We believe in honest communication, and this just didn’t sit well.
Now, as someone knee-deep in marketing and customer engagement, I get it – mistakes happen. But it’s how you handle them that matters, right? Lindo Michoacan, unfortunately, missed the mark on this one. Our appetite for exceptional service was definitely bigger than what we got.
This isn’t just a rant, though. I hope this feedback nudges Lindo Michoacan to step up their game. In a world where great dining experiences can make or break a place, winning over customers with solid service is key. I’m all for growth and positive vibes, and I’m hoping this hiccup triggers some much-needed changes.
Thanks for tuning in to my experience. Here’s to hoping that others who step into Lindo Michoacan have a much...
