I’ve been to this location many times and had WONDERFUL, completely fine meals. This visit was unlike any other—it was disgusting and I’m not sure if I’ll ever be back.
[For context: Ever since leaving CA, I prioritize hitting Tommy’s any time I’m within the radius. My dad grew up in LA, so I’ve been eating Tommy’s my whole life—often for breakfast on family trips. I have to-go chili (from another location) frozen in my cooler to take home with me. I’m very familiar and I love Tommy’s.]
However this visit, I opened my burger and immediately thought “YUCK!”
It was literally the worst Tommy’s burger I’ve ever seen (and ranks pretty high in the “worst looking burger ever” category).
We all know Tommy’s chilly can be messy, this chili was runny, not the familiar thick texture. And somehow, despite being all over the paper, there was still not enough of it to really taste the chili or dip a couple fries in. The burger was, however, dripping a watery substance…probably from the pickles or tomatoes, but still, an unfamiliar experience, and just gross…
On top of that, there were not enough paper towels, and no bulk ketchup (only packets) or peppers available.
The trays were broken in multiple places and the bathroom was DISGUSTING. It has always smelled, but this time there was no paper and it had clearly not been cleaned in an embarrassing amount of DAYS.
I understand the challenges of employee shortages, but this felt beyond. Clearly the attention to quality and customer experience has majorly slipped. Management/owners should be concerned.
DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION until they get their act together.
Today totally ruined something that is usually is a “destination”. At this point I just hope I make it home without...
Read moreI'm glad I went in instead of the drive thru. Won't be back. While the counter service was okay, the manager or shift lead was not at all customer service oriented. Short, rude answers and not helpful when addressing the simplest request for a couple of ketchup packets.
I was there with four people, and during my stay there were only three people in the dining area and the drive thru was what I would consider slow. No line at all. On my extended wait, I started to look around and noted that half the dining area was cordoned off with two mops sitting in a bucket of very dirty water. There was left out cleaning chemicals at the drink and condiments area, but no evidence that they had been used recently. The condiments dispenser was empty and filthy, showing clear signs of having never been cleaned. Looked like the same dirt one finds on a well used uncleaned steering wheel. The vents in the dining room are greasy and filled with dirt. The floor hadn't had a deep clean in ages.
If this is the customer side, I can't imagine the kitchen.
When the food was delivered, it was also a disaster. Clearly low standards of production. Hard pass.
There were plenty of unengaged staff at the time. Maybe they were busy earlier, but not at all during my stay and didn't appear to be the least bit concerned about the type of continuous cleaning it takes for a restaurant of this type.
On the way out, I had a look at the restroom and it was a complete disaster.
I'm disappointed that this local franchise was such a poor representation of the chain.
I do not like leaving negative reports, but it's probably in the...
Read moreJanuary 21, 2023 The crew working this shift needs to be replaced! For the sake of Tommy’s name. I counted 6 people “working”. The lady working the window (Orange is the New Black looking lady) just standing there not even acknowledging me just staring at the one and only guy making burgers for the drive-thru order. One guy in the back unboxing stuff, and two other ladies (one possibly a manager) just chatting away. And the guy that took my order seemed like he had no desire to be there. I grew up eating at their restaurants even the OG one in Los Angeles where I had grown up all the way to San Diego. Now living in Arizona, we drove 2 hrs to Henderson Nevada and was told they didn’t have “hot” chili so we would have to come back in an hour or more. It’s 1:30 pm! How is this even possible. So I asked if I could just buy 2 to-go 32oz containers of “cold” chili and he said ok. But to my surprise, he filled both 32oz containers with “hot”chili! I was extremely confused and didn’t even want to know why he couldn’t make my two cheeseburgers burgers (no hot chili) I was dumbfounded! So we drove to the Las Vegas Tommy’s and ordered our burgers there. Drove back home (2+hrs) and the containers of chili were still warm. Now After reading the Henderson Tommy’s location reviews, PLEASE just close this one and open one in PHOENIX or Lake Havasu! AVOID this Tommy’s and drive to a different location!!! 1 star is for getting my chili back home to make...
