I've been wanting to check this place out since it has opened so when I woke up yesterday I was hungry & decided today was the day.
There was a girl @ the hostess stand upon arrival & I got seated right away. There was an obnoxious table right behind me of older ladies who were very loud, thank God they settled down a little bit because if they hadn't I would of asked to move.
I was greeted right away by my waitress who NEVER introduced herself to me...ugh! I hate that. I did find her name on my receipt after I paid, it was Bridget P.
She was great & came to my table right away & asked me if I wanted something to drink. I had seen this Orange Creamsicle drink on another sight but couldn't find it on the drink menu so I asked her about it and she told me what it was. It actually doesn't have alcohol in it but she told me I could add some. So I asked for Orange vodka, they didn't have that so then I asked for Tito's, they didn't have that nor did they have Ketel One....so I asked her what vodka's did they have but she didn't know & had to ask another employee. They only carry New Amsterdam. So if your hoping for a full bar here, sorry they don't have one. My drink came quick & looked very pretty but it was hard to sip thru my straw because the ice chunks were too big and were clogging up the straw, they could have blended it better. I definitely didn't taste any vodka in it and this was my first & only drink of the day.....I swear!! LOL They do charge you an extra $5.00 for a "shot" of vodka. I wasn't informed of this nor did I ask how much more it would cost me for the added vodka.
Bridget was able to answer all my questions that I had about the items I was looking to order. She was puzzled when I asked if they had grilled bagels. I told her that I had seen one on a popular sight in a customer's post. She told me she would have to ask, I told her how its made and also told her if they can't then I didn't want a bagel. I prepared her that I was going to be ordering a lot of food....lol
I got the Traditional Benny & asked to have the yolk pretty much cooked & not runny, she told me that this could be done. I was very impressed that it came out that way. I know I'm weird but I don't like runny yolk, I actually don't like cooked yolk either unless I'm having egg salad. I really only like cooked egg whites with the hollandaise sauce, this part was good. The ham was thick but too salty for my liking. I barely ate the english muffin but what I did eat of it was good. I opted out of the side that it came with & went with the fruit. I asked for 2 slices of pineapple & 2 slices of watermelon instead of the cantaloupe & melon. The watermelon wasn't very red & the pineapple was very tart.
I got a side of bacon "soft" which wasn't bad since it was cooked a little bit more then I liked and it was too salty to my liking.
I got one slice of french toast that was delicious! She brought my bagel out & asked if it was OK & it wasn't. I told her it was burnt and it also looked like it was grilled on a dirty grill so I sent it back. I believe the guy in charge was the one who brought out the new one & it looked and tasted amazing, just how I like it. He told me that the cook grilled it on the wrong grill.
Bridget was attentive & had come back to check on the food shortly after she brought it out & checked on me a few more times while I was there. She brought my bill over without me asking but told me "no hurry." I laid my CC card out & when she saw it she came back & rang me up right there @ the table with her handheld CC machine.
The water here is disgusting so bring your own. I'd definitely come back & get me another grilled bagel & try out their omelet. Restaurant was clean & the employee's kept busy vs. just standing around with each other...
Read moreI used to visit Scrambled religiously--2 to 3 times a month, without fail. It was the hidden gem close to home where seating was quick, service was friendly, and the food? A true delight. My favorite dish, the "Whole Hog," kept me coming back time and again. But this once-charming establishment has unraveled in shocking ways, and I can't bring myself to return.
Today was the final straw. My family of six (including a 10-month-old baby) had hoped to enjoy what used to be our favorite breakfast. We signed up on the waitlist before heading out, expecting the swift, welcoming experience we've grown accustomed to. When we arrived, only a couple of families were ahead of us--easy, right? Wrong.
The hostess assured us it would be just a few moments. But as we stood in the chilly, breezy walkway, waiting...and waiting...and waiting some more, we watched in disbelief as other families--who arrived after us--were promptly seated. Were we invisible? Did having a baby single us out?
When we sought answers, the hostess fumbled with excuses, and matters only worsened when the manager stepped in. Instead of resolving the issue, she condescendingly spoke to us like we were clueless, failing to grasp our situation or even acknowledge who was in our party. She confused us with another group entirely and brushed off our concerns.
No apologies. No genuine effort to make things right. The manager offered a gift card, but it felt like a dismissive gesture rather than an attempt to resolve the situation meaningfully. Disappointment, frustration, and the undeniable sense that Scrambled has lost every ounce of professionalism it once had.
If you're wondering why business has dwindled, Scrambled, maybe overhear your staff or take a hard look at the chaos within your walls. A poorly trained team and dismissive management aren't the recipe for success. Closing your doors might be kinder than continuing to alienate loyal customers.
Fortunately, our day turned around at Green Valley Ranch, where I won money gambling and enjoyed a far better breakfast.
Scrambled, you had something special once. Now? You've scrambled it beyond...
Read moreUpon entering there was a wait and we were told about 15 mins out. No problem to us, as this place was really jumping. So many people wanted to get in and eat. I knew by this it must be really good.
Once we got in, the entire atmosphere was light and airy in design. Staff was beyond friendly. The customer service I must say was really on point, especially with how busy it was.
We opted for the Rosemary Lemonade, Watermelon Mojito, Smoked Salmon Lox Benny, and of course that Steak Breakfast Bowl. Everything was made wonderfully with absolutely no complaints. I am still dreaming about that Watermelon Mojito. Can I say WOW. We were continually taken care of, without it feeling overwhelming.
We got the chance to meet the owner, and it is no doubt the reason why so much care, attention, and detail was put into all aspects of this dining experience. She is truly a force to be reckoned with, as she knows her stuff with the restaurant industry. It is nice to see a place that is actually loved by those that work there. This is not often something that one gets to experience here in Vegas.
The Covid 19 new way of life is clearly evident in here. The staff is wearing masks, there are plexiglass dividers between the booths, and it is continually being cleaned by bussers ect.
Would thoroughly recommend - pricing is a reflection of quality and presentation. Portions were...
