Janitzio Mexican Restaurant in Hendersonville, NC—this place doesn’t just serve food, it serves Latino Heat straight to your soul! 🌮💃
The moment I walked in, I felt like I had been teleported into a fiesta where the salsa never runs out and the mariachi band in my heart started playing at full volume. The chips and salsa? 🔥 Crunch louder than a luchador slamming into the mat, salsa spicier than your ex texting you at 2AM.
Then came the tacos… bendito sea, these weren’t tacos, these were edible fireworks. Carne asada cooked so perfect it should have its own telenovela, onions and cilantro dancing together like Ricky Martin and Shakira on stage. 💃🕺
And don’t get me started on the refried beans—creamy, rich, hotter than the streets of Miami in July. Pair it with a margarita that hits harder than a Rey Mysterio dropkick and boom, you’re living la vida loca. 🍹
Janitzio isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a Mexican volcano erupting straight onto your taste buds, leaving you sweaty, smiling, and begging for just one more...
Read moreDo NOT go here. In all my years of dining out, I have never told the waitress that the food was inedible, so this was a first. It was horrible. I ordered a super taco salad. After waiting 30 minutes for food, the beef steak was very well done like a piece of leather oh only the 2 pieces that were meat and not pure stringy fat! Swimming in liquid at bottom of tortilla bowl, no beans no guacamole as on menu. My husband fajita salad was suppose to be romaine lettuce and was iceberg and dressing for his came 5 minutes after he got the food along with my food and it was a bottle of wishbone. I know this sounds like I am picky but usually if it's bad food or service I just don't go back but this was awful. Poor waitress was only 1 of 2 working entire restaurant and bussing tables and taking money. She did take my food off of the bill. My advice is pass this place and go down the road to...
Read moreWe really had high hopes going in. But what we found was a half-a* eatery, with an attitude of just put something out there, and it's good enough. For instance - chili rellenos. Should have a chili pepper, filling, and be deep fried. What we got was a scoop of ground beef with cheese melted in it. That's it. Taco? Ground beef & lettuce. Burrito? Beef and grilled onions. Steak was thin slice skirt steak (think fajita, unsliced), cooked until mercilessly tough and served cool-ish, not hot. Chalupa? I was excited, but it was crispy corn tortilla with beans and lettuce. That's it. Salsa was just tomato sauce with either hot sauce or hot peppers ground in it. That's it. Restaurant was clean, and staff was friendly. But it can't make up for the food being half-a*ed. They could really be good if they would cut down the menu size, and really make the items on the menu. And...
