Keke's Breakfast Cafe — Restaurant in Hendersonville

This was our first time at this restaurant. The atmosphere when walking in is very light and airy. The tables and chairs are comfortable and the staff is warm and welcoming. Before we even got our food, we had been visited by multiple servers and a manager, making sure that we were comfortable and letting us know that we were about to have the best experience of our eating lives. When the food came, it was beautifully laid out and not only that, but everything was very tasty! The sausage links have a little bit of a kick to them, so if you like things plain, these might be a little spicy for you, but it works well with the flavor palate and it is very tasty. The silver dollar pancakes will keep this place open forever! They are crispy on the edges and warm and soft in the middle with just the right amount of sweetness. The omelets were huge! And the thing that I like the most is that every ingredient of your omelet is diced and distributed evenly throughout the whole entire omelet! There are no big chunks of anything and the flavors all meld well together. They grind their beans fresh on site, so the coffee is wonderful and full bodied. The French toast is huge! The presentation of the French toast was crazy! The amount of fruit was nuts, and fruit was fresh! Whether you're getting the banana pecan caramel or the Florida, which is strawberries, bananas, blueberries and powder sugar, it's beautifully decorated. Very full of the fruit ingredients and very tasty! Mark my words. This place will do very great business. And this will not be our first time visiting, we will be back. This was the second day in a row that my wife had a bad experience at Keke’s. Yesterday, they tried to overcharge her for her omelette which I would say is deceptive. If you ask for them to remove onions, they will bill you for a create your own omelette for $2 more than what she ordered. Then, she had a server follow and harass her over the to go order she placed. The server kept blaming a new worker even though my wife said it was fine.

As for today, we went back thinking it would be better and because my wife does like their food. We sat for 45 minutes before getting our food. Another server actually heard us discussing the time and checked on our food because our server never bothered to check on us. Our food was brought out at the hour mark and they forgot the pancakes. After waiting for another 10 minutes we asked them to cancel the pancakes and our server basically acted like she couldn’t have cared less that we didn’t have them. She never once gave anyone a refill.

The same manager was there both days and watched as the server followed my wife around the restaurant nearly screaming at her to check the to go order yesterday. How do you allow staff to talk to customers this way and then have a server look annoyed that I wanted the pancakes cancelled since we never received them. Wow! Hendersonville needed this restaurant… it’s great! I went there with my son on a Wednesday at 10:45am. Because parking was jam packed we decided to park in the Goodwill parking lot behind the restaurant and walk. I thought we were going to have to wait to be seated but we were seated immediately and within minutes our server, Travis got our beverages and order. In no time we had our food. On a recommendation we had the raspberry stuffed French toast to share, I had the breakfast wrap (build it your way) and my son had the Philly Cheesesteak panini with fries. Everything was hot and tasty! It tasted just as good if not better than my photos! My wrap was super good and filling (brought half home). My potatoes were sooo good, my son scarfed up his whole panini and fries (I snagged a fry before they were gone and thought they were some of the best fries I have ever had). And YES TRY THE STUFF FRENCH TOAST. The raspberry version that we ordered was delicious. Our server, Travis was friendly and super attentive to our needs. The atmosphere was light and bright and modern yet homie. I will be back. Everyone was so friendly welcomed us and then thanked us for coming and hoped to see us again soon.
