Sometimes a crapshoot. I think that they need fewer employees in there, and need to train their people to work more efficiently. I have been to Dutch Bros. all over the state of Oregon, even Northern California. Never have I seen a greater waste of personnel time, and effort. First of all, there is someone different for every shift, from Monday thru Sunday. They need to set a crew for each shift, and let them work together enough that they know each other's strengths and weaknesses, and go from there. Then, cross-train each person when it gets slow, but when busy let each person work their own position. The money saved on training new people could be used on a second freeze machine, and putting a second drive thru window in. I also suggest that they quit wasting their time making new employees memorize each drink. Teach them the basics and let them learn the fine touches on the job. Never train more than one newbie at a time, and let each one meld into the team. I have been going to DB for the past twelve years. I can tell you that people really appreciate their baristas, and return many more times when the baristas know who they are, and what they usually drink! So I can tell the Hermiston DB, take the time to learn your customers by name, enjoy your job, and you will have a good time when you go to work. Your customers will also tip you much better! They will appreciate getting their coffee more quickly, and just the way they like it, with a lot less...
Read moreI went to the Hermiston Dutch today. I’m from out of town and a very loyal daily Dutch customer in my hometown. Never have I ever been to such a Dutch with rude employees in my life. The one in particular has glasses, braces & reddish colored hair that was hanging in her face . She needs to learn a lot in life about customer service and having an attitude problem. Given her appearance she won’t be getting far in life in the employment world speaking to paying customers like that. She also needs to pull her hair back or wear a hair net. It was unbecoming. I understand they were busy but I feel like no one at this Dutch is a good representation of what the founder would want for one of his business’s . The employees were all dirty and unkept. Their shoes were absolutely filthy. It's not that this location is super busy and that’s what’s causing the backup. The backup is due to the inept employees moving at a slugs pace. I am so glad I do not live here and this is my only option for my favorite drink or else I’d have to start to like other chains for sure. I don’t know who is in charge of this Dutch bros. But someone needs to make a pop in business check and restructure or the one star reviews, I can guarantee, will just...
Read moreAs a regular tri-city Dutch goer this location really dropped the ball. They have two lanes but some how people ariving after us were getting to order and get in front of us and I said something to the gal. The line was already long and then for some reason people in line were getting drinks brought out to them and leaving while in line who were BEHIND us. We get to the window and I confirm my order before paying as usual because it has been messed up anytime I go to a new coffee stand, a 6 shot white angel pretty simple just add 4 to the mixture being an ex barista myself. The extra shots were forgotten they remade it and she starts to hand it to me and its brown. I'm like thats not my drink and she says oh it can be made either way(yes, if specified different than the default) it has WHITE in the name for a reason it is white on white. Choice of milk, two shots white coffee with white chocolate flavor. The 'White Angel' is universal amoung all coffee shacks no matter the company unless they do not stock white coffee. So third times the charm but I will probally make sure to grab coffee in kennewick before heading out next time. P.S. staff...
