Decent park lots of room... But.. it seems to be half broken and poorly maintained in parts.
I take my son here quite often and he really enjoys it, but many of the wooden toy structures are showing their age and a lot of them are broken and unusable.
I also used to like to go here to have the kids play with the built in musical instruments but those too are a thing of the past and gone out broken.
The park as a whole is massive and there is plenty of open grass to play football, soccer, or pretty much any other sport you can think of.
There is ample room to fly a drone or things like that. Also right next to the park is the butte which is a Hermiston landmark and you can hike and climb to the top if you do desire.
So overall this park is quite decent and though the kids Playland is half functional my son still likes it a lot. It is surely in need of an upgrade or some form of proper maintenance as even the half wood chip covered ground is dirt and sand and the weed barrier is coming up all over the place.
You should have a great time when visiting this park but on the same note... It could use a touch of some tender loving care to bring it back to its...
Read moreUpdate The city has upgraded the play structure area. Which is great. But they removed the swings that bigger kids can sit on. So there’s only baby swings and special needs swings, and a swing that’s like a saucer. No traditional swings. There’s some fun slides and other things to climb on though. The spray park still hasn’t been upgraded or addressed in terms of safety.
They really need to maintain this park better, especially with how frequented it is. The bathroom is horrendous, and barely better than a port a potty. Not even soap to wash your hands. The structures are falling apart, and even unsafe in some areas. Watch your children closely! Please. The grass fields are usually looking good, for soccer and what not. Nice place to fly a kite. Has swings, a younger kids play area, wall climbing, large wooden castle type play structure, picnic tables (covered and uncovered). Has water fountain and plenty of parking, usually crowded in summer. The spray park at the end of the lot is incredibly unsafe, many children have been seriously injured there. Hopefully they repair it and find better safety measures to put in place....
Read moreOh my goodness! This is probably the BEST playground I've ever been! We live in Tricities and made the 30-40 min drive after seeing pictures online. Whoever created this was brilliant! There's several different themes and so so much to play on! If I could give it more stars I would. There's also a splash pad right next to it which is perfect for cooling off in, also they have part of the park shaded which is nice since some playground equipment gets pretty hot. I took my kids ages 2,12 and 15 and they all loved it! I'm kinda sad they didn't make the playground of dreams this way in Tricities. We will definitely be visiting again soon. Kudos to the ones who made this...
