i called YOPS on 9/12/24 and ordered a Large YOPS special with bell peppers & onions, and instead of canned mushrooms, i asked for fresh mushrooms. I also asked that banana peppers be added to 1/2 the pizza. and a to go salad. 1st, I had to repeat my order to her 6 times because she kept asking " what was it you wanted on you pizza"? after the 6th time, she then repeated my order back to me and told me it would be 35 minutes. I told her it was fine because i had to drive from umatilla ( you dont deliver to umatilla-powerline road to south hill). shortly after my order was placed, i arrived at Ye olds to pay and pick up my order. i am assuming it was the manager who rang up my order and handed me my pizza & salad container.before leaving, i checked the pizza to make sure what i was handed, is what i ordered.. no it was not. instead of banana peppers placed & cooked on 1/2 the pizza as I requested/ordered, there were only 2-3 little pieces of banana peppers only on 3 slices of pizza.. and honestly, i wouldnt have even called these slices.. they were more like slivers. I brought this up with, again, im assuming the manager.i stated i asked for banana peppers to be on 1/2 the pizza but its only on 3 of the super smallest slices.. he took the pizza & opened box to check, which showed what i told him.have been in the food industry myself, including making pizzas, first,i assumed i would have got an apology for the mistake (i did not get one).2nd,I assumed my pizza would have been remade the way i requested (it was not). instead the mngr gets a sm. styrofoam container & puts cold uncooked banana peppers in it, puts lid on, hands it to me and says "here you go".I was shocked. I shook my head & left.having worked in the food industry for many years of my life,i always believed in the motto " a happy & satisfied customer is a returning customer"..i was neither a happy customer or a satisfied customer. With the price of what i paid for my order,I would have expected better food quality food as well as better customer service.I paid $31.25 for the Yops special plus an additional $3 to have banana peppers added to half the pizza(plus the cost of the salad.). So I paid $31.25 for a pizza not made the way i ordered/paid for and i also paid an additional $3 for a cold, uncooked pizza topping i have to add to my hot pizza when i get home, instead of it being cooked and hot like it was supposed to be.yes,i get mistakes happen. This wouldnt be such a big deal if an apology by the "mngr" was given and an offer from mngr to remake my pizza the correct way and the way i asked for. instead, i was handed a low quality pizza and cold uncooked banana peppers that i had to add to a hot pizza. which in itself was useless because they just fell off the pizza whn picking up a slice, instead of the banana peppers being help in place on the pizza if they would have been added and cooked onto the pizza as i had wanted..I paid $34.25 for an unsatisfactory pizza/not made the way i wanted( $41.20 for my whole order, not including the cash tip i left, which was prior to me getting my pizza and checking it). .For the price i paid for 1 pizza, it would have been assumed it would be made correctly & the way i asked. With the quality of service i was given overall (1 star), I feel, the only way i would ever go back is if an apology was given not only for making the pizza wrong, but also still serving it to me wrong, then expecting me to add the topping i paid for to be cooked, but also to offer me a new pizza the way i had asked...
Read moreYe Olde Pizza Shoppe, Well, I have been wanting to try this place for some time. First time I stopped in by the time someone came out, I couldn't wait any longer to have lunch. That was a while ago finally seen they have a lunch buffet and thought that's great it will be fast. When I walked in, I didn't see a menu and wasn't sure where to go. Door opens to a pick-up spot, and the register is to the right, just in a side room where the buffet pizza was as well. The inside was pretty cool with the ammunition and ordinance box wood on the walls. This lower area is rather small with the tables to sit at in another room from the buffet crossing the main entry door. I could see a potential issue if it were to get busy. Ok, the pizza, this is a hard one. I was starving and craving pizza. I came in towards the end of the buffet time, so I kinda of get it. The pizza was so dry and hard with a cracker style thin crust that was so dry it was crazy. Even the toppings were dry. I was debating on whether to try it or not. But I only had a short time for break, so I tried. So so dry! After I paid, I was told they would have a fresh pizza out in a few minutes it took about 12 to 15 minutes, not too bad on time, really, but it was obvious they really didn't plan on having anyone show up for the time remaining of the buffet that ends at 3. Turns out the fresh pizza was better mainly because the cheese was more melted, but the crust was just as dry. I know some people like the cracker style crust. I guess I'm not a fan. Honestly, the biggest problem I had was after I left and grabbed a few more drinks was the aftertaste, and the only time I get that way is with canned sauce. Like I said, I kind of get it. it's a buffet, and at the end of the time, Frame. It does seem like a lot of things are changing. There is a sign that says they will be closed on Tuesday. I think to put more stuff in there or upstairs, but I'm not sure. And of course, this could have just been a one-off bad day I have seen good reviews if I come back for a second chance, not the buffet, definitely but something else and it's good I will update this review but it might be awhile. Sorry Ye Old Pizza Shoppe I think the pizza just sat out too long. Hope it's...
Read moreLatest update So went back 2 times. Once for lunch buffet where the salad buffet was unavailable and they couldn't comp a soda for inconvenience. Pizza was hot and fresh but just ok. 2nd time got out free pizza the gave us medium not the original large what was supposed to be credited. And the pizza is unevenly cooked. Do not advise. UPDATE: I was contacted by management and given apology and 1 free pizza. I have changed my rating from 1 star only cause negative stars are not possible to 2 honest stars. I will say once we recooked the pizza in our oven it was way better and not doughy. Not crunchy but better. I am willing to rereview after we try free pizza. I hope they take the time to work with people cooking the pizzas as they said they were going to do.
ORIGINAL POST: So was excited to try. The yops was good. Crust flavor not my fav but good pizza. However the Problem was the other pizza the Hawaiian. I like thin crust and usually it doesn't matter if there's pineapple on the crest or not. The thin if cooked right will be crispy.. However apparently at this store that is not the case. When I got the pizza and it was super soggy. I called in and talked to the supervisor who informed me that because we put a pineapple pizza on a thin crust the juice would go to the bottom and therefore be soggy and there's nothing they could do about it. Mind you there was burn edges and doughy center on the underside of the pizza. She was not very polite and kept telling me that the problem with the pizza was because the way I ordered it and not because the way they cooked it. I have had thin crust at multiple places with pineapple and veggies and never been given such rude excuses by the supervisor before. Will not go back. Do not advise. Also only seasonings on pizza seem to be black paper...
