Hi-Fi Espresso — Restaurant in Hermosa Beach

Please update your hours. It’s 7:40am, there’s a barista inside (and a guy with a dog) and your front door is locked. Now I don’t have time to get coffee before work, I wasted 15-20 minutes going out of my way to support your business, and now I have to pay extra to DoorDash myself someone else’s sub-par coffee.

Maybe it’s not a big deal to you that you turned away one customer, but now I have to try to reset the tone of my day, I’m disappointed because I don’t often have the opportunity to go get myself coffee somewhere different, and I drove to Hi-Fi Coffee specifically because the one and only time I’d ever been there I had great service and coffee.

Disappointed, to put it mildly.

I don’t see a place to respond, but your barista saw me- they could have waved or acknowledged me…. They didn’t.

I find HiFi to be the best reasonable option around my house. Coffee is pretty standard, espresso is probably not as strong as Off-Set… BUT! I will say my opinion significantly changed after I had the TK-421 (something around that). I had such a great cup of coffee, I added an extra shot where I was able to enjoy the coffee thoroughly.. just the right amount of caffeine, well balanced, friendly barista. Ugh! Loved it. Would gladly go back to do work, take in the eclectic space and seating arrangement.

Very thankful for Hi-Fi being walking distance. The toasts are also very good. I enjoy the stickers in the toilet. I enjoy learning about local brands after a quick intermission from my coffee ;)

This place is fantastic. It is one of my favorite coffee experiences locally! Everyone who works here is super friendly and they treat me like an old friend even though I’ve only been going for a couple weeks. They have a small indoor space but compliment it with a nice outdoor patio area. The coffee here is done very well. They use beans from Counter Culture and create quite a quality product. My personal favorite is their split macchiato. They also carry a nice variety of pastries (including vegan and gluten free options) from a local baker. All in all my experience here has always been pleasant and I will be continuing to go here as often...
