South Park is a wonderful, small neighborhood park. It was fabulous even before the new playground as it's an open play field with a wide walk. The new playground is nice for small kids, especially with the large slide however it is still very busy, especially after school and on weekends. Parking is extremely limited on site, as well as in the area which is why locals appreciate the walk-in value. The congestion at the parking lot is an issue. I suppose the community garden is a plus but it's also extremely small and adds no value to the public. The existing on-site building has public restrooms, however the rest of the building has been relegated to the school board as has the upper area parking lot during the week. The area is back in the park, a ways from the busy street, ensuring a safer experience overall. It’s a wonderful land of fun, adventure, exploration and exercise! Read moreThis is a great park. I sometimes go and just chill out. They have a playground area for kids, large grass area, a path to walk around and I like to check out the community garden. Please clean up after your dogs if you take one. There is a fountain for people and dogs so that is great if you have a thirsty hot dog or kid lol.
