Not much to say about this chain of restaurants, as so many of us are familiar with them. But I felt I needed to share what I witnessed at the Herndon location, right on Elden St.
A man walks in, the young lady behind the counter asked what he would like. A "burrito bowl with brown rice he said" "There is none available" the lady replied. "But I see some in the container," he responded. The lady said, "that's for online orders," she said. The man said, "What! I'm here and would like my order with brown rice!"
Stay with me..This is when the cook in the back piped in and said, "you heard the girl, it's for online orders!" All this happened around 9:00 PM and this location closes at 10:00.
An alternation erupted in the store while the manager stood watching. The man/customer asked the cook to come outside where he said he would "beat the life out of him."
All of this...An employees life is being threatened because of mismanagement of the products this Chipotle serves and a terrible decision from Management to advise the servers to only offer brown rice to online customers. What? The store would be closing is less than an hour!!!
I've been to many restaurants in this NOVA area, but the treatment of a customer that I witnessed at this location is the absolute worst I have ever seen!
This is so unacceptable and I'm only posting this review because I don't want any of you to ever experience such treatment.
I have tried numerous times to call and speak to someone in management to voice my concern and I have been hung up on each attempt I've made.
So...be advised!!
For those that have read my reviews and follow me. Here's the response from a Chipotle. See below

Read moreIt's a place I never want to go again in my life. I gave 1 star in every field. This is a very bad restaurant that doesn't deserve even 1 star.
The first issue: The food is very salty. They poured salt into the brown rice that I ate. The cooked white rice that my husband ate was also salted rice.
The second issue: Also, the amount of food was very small compared to other chipotles. I told the catering staff that my steak was too small, and she asked me to pay more to get more steak. I found out then that there were very few steaks left in their steak bin.
The third issue: When I asked for stir-fry vegetables, she angryly put the vegetables in my plate then threw the spoon into the bin.
The fourth issue: Most of the food workers didn't speak English very well, and they only asked questions to sell other foods and drinks. It seems that employees there are not very happy to work there.
The fifth issue: Also, I asked the staff to let me take the hot salsa in the small cup. But the girl there forgot to put it in my paper bag.
I visited this place about a years ago. And I had the same problem today as I did a year ago. But I visited today with the expectation that the place would be different from a years ago. I had a job nearby and I was so hungry. But the experience today brought back the bad memory from my last visit. I am sure that I will never go back to this Chipotle ever again.
My husband and I didn't finish our lunch today. We only ate 1/3 plate. We both had a stomachache from the salty food. We suffered all day.
Please don't visit here. Don't waist your valuable...
Read moreThe food handling situation in this particular restaurant has gotten worse. Most of the time, I say nothing and stay away for a while. Today I ordered a burrito bowl and a side of guacamole. I returned the guacamole because it had a huge piece of peel in it. They gave me another one. They were closing early for New Year’s Eve, I arrived at 6 pm they closed at 8 pm and the were already breaking down the line and cleaning up. I tried to enjoy my meal but as I looked up, I noticed a lady employee eating chips out of a silver container; one of many stacked on the table between the cook and the people on the line serving. She reached into one of the silver containers with no gloves and started munching on the chips - right on the line. My guess she was the cook. She wasn’t preparing anything just nibbling out of the silver container which I’m sure came off the line. She also filled a plastic tall bottle with something. Again, no gloves. I told her she shouldn’t be eating on the line. The manager said she was allowed to do so to taste the food. She was not tasting the food. She was nibbling out of the containers that were placed on the table. My thing is this, if you are going to eat, eat in the back not in front of customers like you are at home nibbling out of pots and pans. They Just got over the food poisoning issues. This is the last straw for me. I have it on video and I plan to call corporate. Not to get anyone in trouble, but to speak up about lack of food safety in...
