On Sunday Oct 13 we experienced some of the worst customer service I have seen in awhile. Our party received our food in a timely manner - all of us, but one. We asked how much longer and the server guy in the red Bucs jersey number 3 winston, who was helping our waitress, told us just another minute it was coming out. Ok so 10 minutes goes by and this same guy was making rounds by us, so we asked him again he said the same thing and we then asked him if he could check because he said the same thing 10 minutes ago and he responded with a defensive attitude and stated "I don't work in the kitchen don't get angry with me. " Wow! We were speechless and caught off guard especially since we weren't angry and no attitude on our side we were simply asking a question, which was justly because of the time that had passed. Most of our table was almost done eating at this point. Our waitress brought the food at the same time this guy was coping an attitude. Now there are a lot of variables that might have happened that could have explained the delay but instead his lack of customer service has now cost them 5 customers. I certainly don't wish this worker to lose his position as I'm sure we all have bad days but as I watched him do his job he seemed to have a good attitude toward everyone else, even though he tended to cater to one table specifically. I can't help but think that some customer training might be a good idea and this example could be just that a tool to learn from. Our waitress on the other hand was very sweet and nice and answered all of...
Read moreMy husband and I have been to Sully's together once prior (maybe 2021) for dinner. The food and service, at that time, was okay, which is why it took us a while to return. We recently met with my in-laws there for dinner. The beer selection was good, with a variety of brews. But, for a Pour House, I'd expect better/accurate pours. I had requested a local IPA but what I got was something sour. I told our waitress it didn't taste right and she immediately asked if it was sour.. So, she obviously knew it wouldn't taste right, and when I said yes, she got me another pour. Same thing. Sour. The bartender watched me take my first drink, saw my face, and then said to me to get something different because the previous keg was a sour and "the pours would taste sour for awhile". I never expected that from someone who calls themselves a "Pour House". Clean your lines. I'm allergic to raspberries and raspberries are found in many sours. I was obviously concerned and was very unhappy that they were so casual and matter of fact. In addition to that, our food took forever. Our waitress barely checked on us, although she walked by multiple times. My husband was very unhappy with his burger. I got the chicken sandwich and it was nothing special. There are only three things that I can speak positively about: the tater tots, ranch dressing, and the beer selection (when it's accurate). Since it's close by, I'm sure we'll head there again. Hopefully I can report a...
Read moreThis location was once O'Sullivans, at least it was when I visited in July of 2017. Under new ownership they rebranded to changing the menu and draft beer selection completely. This review is based on this establishment standing on it's own merit, not comparing it to its previous existence. The positives, they have micro brews from Virginia. The one I had was decent, but not anything that would make me want to rush out to get more of it. We ordered the wings. 12 wings for $13. I ate the wings because I was hungry and didn't want insult he wait staff since they seemed nice. Some of my wings were clearly not completely cooked as much as they should have been, though still safely edible. The flavor was ok, but not even as good as Hooters or a Buffalo Wild Wings. Definitely not a good value by any stretch. In fact I couldn't see anything on the menu that was priced reasonably to where I wouldn't have an expectation of having a better than generic bar food experience.
While I really enjoy Old Town Herndon, I don't see myself heading back to the area and if I do, I will be hitting Jimmy's if I want an American...
