Nuccio's Pizza — Restaurant in Hi-Nella

This is a hard one to write. I've been coming to Mama Nuccios for over 20 years, and I've loved it. But recently, the service quality has taken a major nosedive. They still have the best pizza around, but timeliness of order prep has gotten MUCH slower. They tell you it'll be done in 20 minutes, you show up 20 minutes later, and still end up waiting an additional 20 minutes for your order to be done.

Also, their garlic knots are amazing. But when you call to order them, they say "we're out of them" at 5pm.

IT'S MADE OF PIZZA DOUGH. I find it difficult to believe that you have plenty of dough for pizza, and none for garlic knots? How hard is it to make them when someone orders them? Especially when they're such a popular item! It's not like you ran out of mozzarella sticks and can't prepare any more. You have PLENTY of what's needed for garlic nni

Maybe they're short staffed. I don't know. But these problems have been going on for several months now. I sincerely hope they find the problem, and fix it before they start losing...

We have eaten here for years when it was Mama Nuccios and loved the food. We visited today with the new owners. The panzarotti was delicious. The cheese steak was good but way less meat than before. I would have given more stars but the owner was giving someone with a service dog a hard time about not wanting a dog in their restaurant because it wasn’t “good for business”. The man with the dog even had his wife go in first and ask if there was a place that he preferred them to sit, out of the way since he had a service dog. He was an elderly veteran with an obvious disability and the dog was obviously trained. He even offered to show ID. His wife spoke up and told him he was humiliating her husband. He said. Ok, but sit in the corner table and abruptly walked away. If it were me I would have walked out, but they sat. I told him that he shouldn’t treat the man that way, thanked the man for his service and walked out. I will...

Tried to make an order for 3 Original panzerotti's, and 2 garlic knots and apparently the person answering the phone was disinterested in my order. After repeating the order several times and rudely being put on hold. I sent my brother to pick it up. Of course he came home with 2 panzerotti's and not 3. So I call them back and the guy says you only paid for 2. How would I know they never gave him any receipt?!?!! Anyway I asked him to send me the other one. But he says id have to pay for it and come pick it up. Apparently my dinner was an incredible inconvenience for them. And so I advised him the rest of my dinner would get cold if I did that. So he tells me not to order from there anymore and hangs up on me. Nice guy after being a customer of that store for 40 some years. Definitely won't be ordering from there anymore. Nothing like the original owners of that pizza place. They should loose the name. Mama Nucch would...
