There are certain fundamentals a customer expects from restaurants. One is cleanliness. How do you suppose the people working in the kitchen stay sanitary when there isn’t even soap in the bathroom? Transparency in pricing. I ordered something listed on the menu for $11.00 and when the check came it was $15.00. When I inquired about it the “manager” (supposedly) said prices are subject to change any at time. It escapes them to make the price clear before the customer orders while thinking it’s the price listed on the menu. I had to ask for a water refill 3 times. There was no attentiveness and the server really made it seem like she couldn’t care less whether we were well tended to or not. My suspicion is that the servers are there for an entirely different purpose. What that purpose may be I’ll leave to your own discretion once you see how they interact with “regulars”. During a lunch break I stopped in for a quick coffee and ended up pleasantly surprised by much more than I expected. What I thought would be just a caffeine run turned into a full-on discovery—the menu was packed with food options I didn’t even know they offered.

The breakfast selection was impressive, and even better, the prices were extremely reasonable. I got a solid meal for under $10, which is rare to find these days without sacrificing quality. The service was also a standout—friendly, fast, and attentive, which makes a huge difference when you’re squeezing in a quick stop before work or on a busy morning.

And that coffee? It wasn’t just good—it was a work of art. Smooth, rich flavor with that barista touch that shows they take pride in what they serve. I wasn’t sure if I should drink it or admire it.

Hace unos días fui a almorzar por primera vez a este lugar porque me lo habían recomendado mucho, y la verdad que la comida está espectacular. El sazón es 100% cubano, los platos bien servidos, todo en su punto. De verdad que me sentí como en casa en cuanto a sabor y presentación. Un aplauso para la cocina, porque no tengo ni una queja en ese aspecto.

Peeero… lamentablemente hay algo que me molestó muchísimo y me dejó con muy mal sabor de boca, y no fue precisamente la comida. Había una muchacha, una mesera, de cabello rojo, que en cuanto se me acercó, lo primero que me dio fue un olor a marihuana horrible, que te juro me revolvió el estómago. Yo entiendo que cada quien tiene su vida fuera del trabajo, pero uno viene a comer, a pasarla bien, y encontrarse con ese tufo es inaceptable. Eso no pega en un lugar tan bonito y con tanta gente disfrutando de su almuerzo.

Pero lo peor no fue solo eso… La misma muchacha se le fue por detrás a un señor mayor, canoso, que estaba sentado en la barra, y le tocó las partes traseras como si nada. Yo no sé si ella estaba jugando, si lo conocía, o si tenía algo encima, pero la escena fue tan incómoda y vulgar, que varias personas se miraron entre ellas como diciendo “¿y esto qué es?”.

De verdad que me dio tremenda pena ajena. Ese tipo de comportamiento le quita clase, prestigio y profesionalismo al restaurante. Porque si vas a vender una experiencia cubana de calidad, eso tiene que incluir también el servicio. Y tener a una mesera con ese olor y con esa conducta, delante de familias, niños y personas mayores, es una total falta de respeto.

Ojalá lo tomen en cuenta, porque tienen una joya en la cocina, pero no pueden permitir que el mal comportamiento de una persona empañe el buen trabajo del resto del equipo.
