this is the first time I came to this restaurant, I placed an order for pickup. Their customer service was not pleasant at all. I arrived at the resturant and when i walked in there was no customers inside. I waited for about 3 min and then one of the ladies asked me very rudely. "what do you need". I told her to pick up an order and she said it's with that lady and pointed to her. she saw me continued doing what she was doing. a few minutes later she said what do you want. I then responded I don't want anything I'm here to pick up my food. she then turned around to the first lady and said she's here to pick up an order. when i came home the food was salty and the french fries soggy. I don't recommend this place because of bad customer service.........no recomendio este restaurant no tienen servicio al cliente y la comida salada.

Ten years ago, this Hialeah eatery was a local gem, renowned for its perfect meals at any time of day. However, my recent visit was a stark reminder of how much has changed. The once delectable breakfast, now a shadow of its former self, featured eggs that were unappetizingly wet and flavorless. The croquettes, which used to be a highlight, tasted bland and stale. A significant concern was the chicken served to a toddler; it was alarmingly undercooked. Additionally, the onions had a distinctly old smell upon arrival. The breakfast potatoes, meant to be a crispy delight, were so excessively oily that we had to blot out the grease with paper - a visual testament to the decline in quality. Having grown up here and experienced the restaurant’s better days, it’s disheartening to see such a downfall in standards. I will see that the service is still great, and a handful of items are still delicious, but...

Honestly, I should have stopped coming here a long time ago after having my Birthday here and not getting my meal until everyone in my party finished their meal (I had ordered a churrasco). Yesterday I ordered a Churrasco before I had to go to work, had I not have work I would have come back immediately to complain in person. You people charged me $40 for a meal that wasn’t a churrasco nor was the flan even good.Maduros were great, fries were okay but the two flans de coco tasted weird almost like soap. I feel robbed. I always recommended Chicos to people that come visit out of state and everyone overall. What happened? You guys use to be amazing. How can y’all prepare this and say it’s a churrasco when it’s a palomilla. I’m disappointed and this is the last time I’m coming.

I’ve been coming to Chico’s Restaurant since I was a kid, and it’s wonderful to see that the food is still as good as I remember. One of my all-time favorites is their Rabo Encendido, which they prepare exceptionally well. This visit, I decided to mix things up and ordered the Bistec Empanizado with fries and moro rice—it was very good! Of course, no meal is complete without a Mamey shake, which I always enjoy here. The service is also top-notch, making Chico’s a true staple for Cuban cuisine in Hialeah. If you’re looking for authentic Cuban food, this place is a must-visit!
