First of all is overpriced. Everything is an add on ( which i understand) and I'm willing to pay at a reasonable price . However 2$ for american cheese ? That's ridiculous. Usually when i go for breakfast at several restaurants they offer the tostada and cafe included with breakfast . Service was mediocre. Our waitress only brought water for two , not for my toddler and even then i was fine but she never came back to refill . I rarely saw my waitress , she was too busy socializing . Then when it was time to pay , she was nowhere to be found. The other waitress advised me that my waitress stepped out real quick to buy something and she was the only one who could bring us our bill. She came back 10 minutes after (besides the time she was awol whilst we were eating that was about 30 minutes) . Once she arrived i asked for my bill, she proceeded to socialize again and minutes later she brought the bill . As i was getting ready to pay she advises that is CASH ONLY . It's 2019 , what establishment does not accept debit cards ? The atm fee was ridiculous. ...

I would call this the closest thing to the food my cuban abuela Cardidad used to cook at home. It almost brings me to tears the way the taste of it resembles the perseverance and resilience that earned her freedom. Morro Castle is one of those places that just feels right the moment you walk in. It’s not fancy or flashy... but that’s what makes it so special. It’s real. It’s warm. And most of all, it’s home. The food truly does remind me of the meals I grew up with. Every bite tastes like someone’s abuela is back in the kitchen, doing it the way it’s always been done. With love and making sure you are fed well. When it comes to the service, it is fast, but never rushed. Everyone there is kind, down-to-earth, and genuinely happy to see you. It’s the kind of spot where they remember your order if you come often enough, and you’ll probably run into a friend or two while you’re waiting. One of my favorites for a cafecito in the morning or grabbing a late-night bite after a long day.

If you know, you know. And if you don’t—you’re seriously...

Amazing 🤩

3/30/22 UPDATE:Last visit the waitress was probably new forgot to add a third side for the special of the day and didn’t say anything about it until I saw a third side order that was never received on the receipt 🧾,when confronting the waitress was trying to blame the kitchen but I believe it’s her job as a waitress to take the orders and understand the menu. She didn’t offer a solution until another employee older with black bangs tried to interfere into our conversation with no help actually make the matter worse saying they are not obligated to give a 3rd side to customers regardless if it’s the special. The original waitress finally said she would send the third side order to go for us.Then said that the kitchen was understaff but there were not even packed in the first place and it’s her job to hopefully know the menu,I knew because we go every week here and order the food special of the day to go without issues for the...

Breakfast in Hialeah is either a make it or break it thing. With this statement and after trusting our Google hunch device (ratings) we end up in Morro Castle. At the very get go they got 5 stars but, you must earn them. And they did it. This is how: Person acknowledge activated, no pressure, great menu options, lots of smiles, food on time and delicious, follow up, and then we met the owner Mr. Leo. A true and blue gentleman humble and imploding in knowledge of places and experience. However there was one item that captured our attention and was nothing more and nothing less than an original newspaper article framed for over 50 years of the Titanic. This alone was worth the experience. Not to mention the balance on the decoration and music. For these extraordinary points we are honored to see great Hialean places making a difference in the world service. Thx Leo! PS: Cash only. No worries they have an ATM

Have been a patron of MC for 21 years! MC is a community staple that never misses! The food is always hot and fresh. I recommend everything on the menu but some of my favorite go-to dishes are; Sopa de Pollo (Chicken soup) Carne con papa (Stewed Beef and potato) Pan con Bistec (Steak Sandwich) This item isn't on the menu persay but, if you like banana shakes and cuban coffee, hear me out and try this, imagine sake bomb but with a colada. Order yourself a batido de banana (banana shake) and a colada (cuban coffee) drop the colada into the shakes and mix well 😋🤤 so good!! Oh this is a cash only establishment so come prepared. It's no frills and mom and pop all the way. The staff is very pleasant and attentive.

Order some food tonight and the quality of food was horrendous to say the least. I ordered the chicken soup and grilled chicken with rice and beans. The soup literally had no chicken just little residue of whatever left I assume. Upon arriving to the establishment, they had my order sitting in the front on the counter. You’d think a take-out order would be in a specific area to maintain the temperature. Go elsewhere if you want actual food. I threw all the food away after recording this video. Best part, I paid $28.40 for this lousy food. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
