Cuba Lives Restaurant — Restaurant in Hialeah

It was such a great afternoon until the end when one of the servers became aggressive for no reason.

We had enjoyed our lunch and stayed for many hours just chatting and conversing together, the food was delicious and nostalgic to eat, when we went to get the check we saw we were getting charged for the dinner fee rather than the lunch one that we had come in for, when we ask the server why that is, he says that because we stayed so long we had to pay the dinner fee, he had said this in an arrogant tone that we all noticed and became uncomfortable with, but brushed off.

Later on as we were chatting one in our group hears that server tell the other servers to watch us because we were suspicious, as if he thought we would run out on the bill!!! it was so disrespectful, and offensive that it ruined the whole mood for us. It just not okay for anyone to do that, much less to guests who hadn't done anything, even if he was suspicious, for him to have been so rude from the get go was unprofessional and just plain discourteous. The other servers were nice and we had no issue with, just know if you go, that bulldog might still be there.

That said, other than him, we had a nice time, definitely leave after eating if you don't want to randomly get charged the...

The food was excellent. The service was awesome, both the waiters (young guy) and the hostess did a great job of sitting arrangements. Very professional and very in tune with the needs of the clients. Cuban food of great taste and there was no holding back on quantity. I recomend this place... I'm not getting paid nor a free meal. To tell you the truth, i am writting this review because of a bad reciew this place received (read below). I almost didnt come here because of the review. Today, Valentines Day, busy as they were, it was all excellent. Great Job to all that work in this restaurant...PS ....I too am Cuban, may not make me an expert...but i do have enough experience in the tasting of cuban food. I most definitely will come here again....highly recoment to all....hispanics, cubans and all. Second time foing to the restaurant .....service and food were even better than when we went on Valentines Day This is the fourth time comming to this restaurant. Food is always piping hot, flavorful and the atmosphere is great. The service is excellent, they sat us down at my request in a closed off area. Full service. GReat place to come.Again waiters...
