Latin Cuban Cafeteria — Restaurant in Hialeah

I have been eating at this restaurant for many years, since they separated from Latin America on 68th Street...when Lazaro was a cook, the food was spectacular and cheap...this part has been around for a while, the food has no quality, today I went to give him another Chance with My family, I ordered horrible chicken rice, it was yellow rice without any type of seasoning and one and a few pieces of chicken that they made soup and threw them there however I wanted, I couldn't eat it.

My husband ordered pork chops, they were raw! he couldn't eat them. My daughter-in-law ordered grilled chicken the same way, no seasoning almost raw. My son ordered grilled chicken the same situation and the food extremely expensive for the place and the quality four people $70 for they do not have quality or good service and extremely expensive. I do not recommend it nor do I...

After ordering to go, I got home to find that the rice (moros) were not freshand had a tough texture, the French fries in the kids meal had burnt debris from being fried in dirty oil, and the pork rinds (chicharrones) smaller and tasted terrible. In my judgements this was not from lack of freshness, but from being cooked in burnt oil. The fried sweet plantains were also not fresh and were slightly burnt, and had the same taste and smell as the pork rinds. Needless to say, I will not be eating from here again, and would recommend that anyone who does, inspect their food before consuming it. It is a shame because I used to enjoy their breakfast on a regular basis...

I have come here several times with my family and received good service. But today (2/19/2023) they decided not to come take our order assuming we only speak English! My family is bilingual! We were waiting for 15 minutes for someone to come take our order. At least 3 families came in after us and got their food ordered. When my husband asked what’s going on in Spanish that’s when one of the waitresses said oh we thought you needed someone that speaks English. And he had previously spoke to a waitress in Spanish when we sat down and they brought us water. We ended up leaving without eating because of the assumption and discrimination!!!! So disrespectful!...
