I came here because I was looking for a dine-in location. This is not it. It’s for take out and delivery only. The aesthetic is cute enough you get past the fact that there are literal iron bars between you and the counter.

The cashier was helpful and kind. Once I finished my order, he assured me it would take 10 minutes for my lunch special. 35 min later and I was already miffed. Kept it cool, took my food and left.

For context, I ordered a large wonton soup and the lunch special which consisted of orange chicken, basic lo mien, a pork egg roll, and a bottle of Diet Coke. Since it’s a rainy day, I wanted to start with the soup. As I poured it into a bowl I noticed that there are only three wontons in a quart size. There’s also uncooked pieces of cubed carrots? What in the world? Fine, new place and every place does things differently. All three wontons were uncooked! Absolutely disgusting. I put that aside and opened my main entree. Looked okay until I bit into the pork egg roll. It was raw and doughy inside. Now I’m hoping the rest of my meal is edible. I start with the lo mein. I did ask what were the basic lo mein ingredients so I can choose what was right for me. I was told it would be Chinese veggies. What I recipes were onions and peppers and only lone overcooked snow pea mixed with overcooked tough steak in a spicy sauce. I didn’t once ask for spicy.

Finally the chicken. This is what finally made me make this post. This overcooked tough chicken is barely coated in sauce which was a blessing in disguise. This dish should be called cinnamon chicken. How we got from orange to cinnamon is beyond me. I wouldn’t recommend this place in the slightest.

I hope this review can help the restaurant realize that they need to make improvements. I visited the restaurant in-person because I like to see the place, especially Chinese food. The west little river area is in need of good Chinese food but is not doing well at the moment. previously the restaurant on 95th was top tier but has also taken a dip in recent years. OMG china is not real Chinese food, the flavor is off, the menu is buzzard, and the prices are ridiculously. Please understand the community you’re located in, we understand that business’s need to generate revenue, but jacking the lunch special price to $13.00 plus tax is crazy! I’ve watched customers leave because the lunch price was close to the dinner prices. This is not south beach, the prices should match the economic population. The food is below standards but it’s expected when you see the staff that cooks the food. Let certain cultures do what they do, and if I wanted Latin Chinese food, I would make that at home. Again, this is a food/price improvement, I hope...

Edit: Note the owner response is talking about foolishness and I’m talking about quality of the food!! Fix that and fix the attitude. Don’t give substandard food to this community and respect your customer base! Much better Chinese restaurants down the street & I don’t need to go to south beach, thanks! Honestly: food 1 star, service 3 stars. I spent $37 on medium fried rice, 14 wings and veggie egg rolls. The only thing that was good was the egg rolls. Rice was hard and uncooked (probably old), chicken wings were meh. My family had a decent experience here but this was my first time and last. There were a few red flags: It’s Spanish owned and they sell pizza. This is not real Chinese food and I’m extra disappointed because next day the food was sour. I give two stars because the guy who took my order was nice. Won’t be back tbh
