Subway — Restaurant in Hickory

9/16/25 I walked in this subway with my mother, I came here about 2 weeks ago, everyone was sweet and nice, I even donated 4$ for a tip!, her husband is always so nice and sweet but her on the other hand she’s truly a rude and evil person, we come in to purchase some subs, I noticed when I asked her for more “pepper” she shook it alittle bit more and then looked at me as if I was “asking for too much” so I asked for more, she then did the same exact thing again, so my mom was like just got home and add more pepper and leave it alone, I also wanted more parmesean but I didn’t even ask because of the attitude she already had previously about the extra pepper, I will NEVER come back to this subway again, the way I was treated tonight about my hard earned money was disgusting! idc if I ask for the whole bottle of pepper on my sub, I’m paying for it! make it how I asked you too, if this is who yall are gonna keep for a boss at that subway you’ll never get any customers, no wonder why it’s always so empty when I came in, even this time it was just me and my mom, boss or not you don’t own subway! if I ask for extra meat or whatever give me what I’m paying for , SIMPLE! very disrespectful and highly disgusting. listen to these reviews yall, I promise...

The people who run this store are the rudest and stingiest people I have ever met. I asked for pickles on my sandwich and the lady working put two on it. I asked for more and told her I would pay extra and she put two more on it. It was the same struggle with all of the toppings. If Subway is making it so hard for you to succeed that you have to nickel and dime every customer, you may want to think about a different business...

Then, the man that was working started complaining openly about how all Americans are so racist and how the locals think he is Middle Eastern but he is actually Indian. I can certainly sympathize with someone who has been discriminated against or labeled but ranting and taking it out on your customers is not going to help your case.

The entire experience was disappointing and uncomfortable. I have not been to this location in months and will go out of my way to visit a different Subway even though this one is closest...

Tried to use the coupon that clearly states what cannot be purchased with said coupon and I was told that they could only do a certain couple subs which had never happened at any other subway in the past. The time before that I went there the woman making the food messed up a sub that had marinara on it and it was supposed to be a BMT that definitely doesn’t come with marina Instead of making a new one she tried to wipe the marinara off instead and then was incredibly snappy and rude when I tried to scan my rewards card. I completely understand being understaffed and frustrated and trying to make ends meet but I’m paying full price for these(and it’s not cheap at all mind you) and I was very nice even though that was never reciprocated.
