I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Dive Bar Hickory recently, and I am thrilled to share my exceptional experience. This establishment, under the incredible management of Kevin and the ownership of Rob, truly stands out for its remarkable professionalism, customer-centric approach, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was welcomed into an inviting and vibrant environment that immediately set the tone for a fantastic time. The ambiance at Dive Bar Hickory strikes the perfect balance between relaxed comfort and lively energy, making it an ideal spot for both a casual get-together with friends and a laid-back evening out.
What truly sets Dive Bar Hickory apart, aside from its delightful atmosphere, are the wallet-friendly prices that come without any compromise on quality. In a world where entertainment and dining expenses can quickly escalate, Dive Bar Hickory provides an exceptional value for the overall experience it offers.
During my visit, My friends and I had an issue arise with one of the employees that unfortunately escalated. However, the true test of a business's dedication to customer satisfaction is how they handle such situations. Kevin and Rob went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did they investigate the matter thoroughly, but they also took the time to meet with us personally to apologize and rectify the situation. Their commitment to addressing concerns head-on and ensuring that customers have a positive experience is a testament to their exceptional leadership.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Dive Bar Hickory to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable time. The dedication to customer service exhibited by Kevin and Rob is second to none, and their unwavering commitment to quality shines through in every aspect of the establishment. Whether you're looking for a quick drink or planning to spend a few hours relaxing and socializing, Dive Bar Hickory is the place to be.    Read moreI was a loyal Dive Bar patron for a few months--after moving home from college, I was elated to see that Hickory finally had a good nightlife option. I recommended Dive Bar to all of my friends, and always mentioned how safe, affordable, and fun their business is. Tonight, a friend from college and I were excited to go to the Dive Bar--I hyped up the experience to her astronomically and assured her that it would be the best bar she'd ever been to (bonus points for the arcade games!). Sadly, upon entering, my friend was turned away for having a "fake ID." Her ID is in no way facetious--it is up to date, came straight from the DMV, and boasts the same birth date on her birth certificate. It is also the permanent plastic copy, not the temporary paper one from last year! Instead of trying to scan it or even electing to consult a police officer on the corner right outside the door, she was turned away, leading us to find another bar to give our business to for the night. Her ID is vertical, but this is because she renewed her license prior to its expiration on her 21st birthday--since she wasn't 21 yet and didn't want to risk having an expired license to wait and get a horizontal copy, she was given a vertical (but STILL VALID) driver's license. I am incredibly disappointed with our experience tonight, and will sadly have to rescind my doting on the Dive Bar in all future conversations regarding Hickory...
Read moreI had a really disappointing experience at this bar because of the bartender, Mason. When I first came in, I asked if I could try on a hoodie on before deciding if I wanted to buy it. Mason told me yes, as long as I didnât run off with it. I put it on, ordered a drink, and he told me he had already added it to my tab. I reminded him that I specifically asked if I could try it on and walk around with it before deciding. He brushed that off. Later, after I decided I didnât want it, I put the shirt back on a hanger and set it on the counter. Mason came up again while I was bowling, insisting it was âalready mineâ and that it was âon my tab,â in a condescending way. It felt unnecessary and aggressive. On top of that, when I went to pay, he didnât ask for my card or IDâjust stared at me and then implied I was drunk, even though I wasnât. He did the same to my sober friend who was just buying a soda. The whole interaction came across as arrogant and unprofessional, and it really killed the vibe of the night. Clarifying and giving me the option to take the shirt off my tab would have gone a long way, but instead I felt talked down to and dismissed. I wonât be back as long as Mason is...
