We have dined here twice and both meals were very good! A little room for improvement, but definitely worth future visits!! Their outdoor dining is very pleasant on a mild evening. Last night I had the filet with potatoes and brussel sprouts, same thing I had on my previous visit and it is a 10 out of 10! Flavor, portion and cost! Excellent!! My wife had the sliders for her meal and the first time we had them they were very juicy and flavorful, last night they were dried out and ended up as part of our dogs meal for the evening. Also, their fries are just frozen crinkle fries, would have figured something a little more from a nicer restaurant. We shared a cobb salad to start with blue cheese dressing and it was good, but not great. Needed something else for texture and lacked flavor. Our service was good and we thought our server did a great job!! The food runner from The kitchen had the personality of sandpaper... maybe she wasn't having a good evening? But in a customer facing role I think you need to be a little happier and not rude. They forgot my wifes fries and when she mentioned this to the food runner she argued that it hadn't been rung up instead of saying something like let me check on that. Then our server walked up and she kind of argued with him in front of us. That probably should've been a back of restaurant discussion and not arguing with the customer. All that being said! We like it here and WILL return!! We may skip the cobb and sliders, but the filet is excellent!! And good ambience!! To those about to dine, I salute you!!

The brunch menu on the weekend is a great way to start enjoying this local downtown favorite. Great (but short) brunch menu, mostly egg-based of course but the shrimp and grits are a great exception. The grits are in a cake, lightly fried. The shrimp sauce includes sausage (no pun intended), cheese, and peppers. If you have a meat allergy, take note. The brunch Bloody Mary bar almost makes a Bloody Mary a meal with add-you-own bacon, sliced meats, cheeses and assortment of typical veggies. We've been here for dinner a couple of times and it's equally good and with a great dinner times. Service is prompt and great. There's outside seating on the sidewalk with umbrellas to block the sun and rain. Pet-friendly. Parking is street-front up and down the main street without meters. Downtown Hickory isnt exactly close to I-40 or US-321 but access is fairly convenient. There are boutique shops around the restaurant to visit afterwards

It was a very nice place. We went around 6pm and enjoyed their outdoor seating. The inside is quite small so indoor seating seems very limited. They are dog friendly if you choose to sit out on the patio. My husband got the ahi ha tuna which was okay only. He also got the grilled cheese and a side of soup which was good. I got the sliders, they were good. Our friends got the blackened chicken and the braised beef short ribs. They both said it was very bland. All the appetizers came out fairly quick but all the entrees did take at least an hour to come out. Service was good, I took my dog and he even brought out a small bowl of water for her. The vibe was good but the food is quite expensive (all appetizers were $10+.) All salads were between $6-12 with an additional at least $6 for any kind of protein. They do have an extensive list of wine if you are a wine person.

I really wish it was possible to not star at all. Let’s start with saying my husband and I are an African American couple . We enter the restaurant and due to limited seating we patiently waited for a booth . After about 30 mins we sat a both and no one greets us for approximately 20 mins. When we are finally greeted by a waiter named Michelle . ( The 20 mins we waited i watched Michelle greet and visit every table but our) Once greeted Michelle bought menus but never returned , the manager ( a tall bald head man ) approached us and took our order . My husband and I order an appetizer and two separate entrees. After about 20 mins we received our appetizer . Another 30 min my husband received his entree and a empty plate was placed in front of me. After about 30 mins of waiting the manger asked if everything was good and we informed him at the time I never revived my entree . At this point the mangers claims he’s going to to inquire about my food . I noticed the waiter Michelle and the manger begin to argue , however no one returns to our table . After another hour of patiently waiting I asked the manger about my meal and his only response is he’s checking and discounted a $27.00 meal $7.00 . The waiter Michelle ( the waiter who is greeting every table and bar guest but ours ) eventually approach out table and tells us she just fell and assumed we were sharing a meal . ( Lets me guess because we are an African American couple) After another 30 mins my meal eventually arrives and the manger begins to apologize about this being his second day and being short staffed due to our lack of service and bragged about the $7.00 discount . However through this 2 hour experience we watched everyone around us receive amazing service. After we had more than enough we asked for our bill and notice they also charged us for someone else beer ! Needless to say I we will never return and hope this establishment does better and treat all customers even African American customers with equal service because we did not...

My partner and I had never been here before and we live nearby so we have been wanting to try. We called to ask if there was a waitlist and the woman on the phone said yes there was and we added ourselves to the list. We got a text roughly 45 min later saying our table was ready. We live a block away so we just walked on over, took us at most 5 minutes. We get there and show them the text that our table was ready. The hostess tells us she just sat that table with another couple that said they were us. So we're all confused. She asks if we would like to wait for another table or sit outside. Obviously, we are pretty annoyed by this, but we choose to sit outside since we are very hungry. Of course, we didn't expect them to pull those people from our table, but I'm confused as to how this even happened. And I'm a little baffled that they didn't offer us any discounts or even an apology. The hostess seemed really young and a little lost, so she could have been new. In any case, we sit outside and order drinks. We watch everyone who was sat after us get their drinks first. A little annoying again, but just hoping once the food comes it'll be good because we're probably getting a little "hangry" at this point lol. I'd like to note that our server was great, super sweet. We receive our food and it is so subpar. They definitely try to be a bougie and hip restaurant, but at least make the food flavorful. I got the Cajun pasta and it was the blandest thing I've ever tasted. Being from Louisiana, I'm pretty harsh when it comes to my home food, but this was awful. The only thing we enjoyed was our appetizer, which was the egg rolls. They were cooked perfectly. We won't be back. Too expensive...
