This place doesn’t even deserve one star! We went in on a Saturday night with call ahead seating and was told it would be about a 15 minute wait so we went to the bar to have a drink while we waited. I ordered a single drink and sat there so long waiting for it that our table was ready before my drink came so I told the bartender to cancel it. She looked at me like she forgot I ordered a drink! That should have been a big red flag about the way the rest of our experience was going to play out. So we get seated and our drink order was taken. About 15 minutes later, we got our drinks and our dinner order was taken. Charlie was our server. We drank our drinks and 45 minutes after we were seated, we still didn’t even have salads and it appeared that no one around us was getting served either. I went to the hostess stand because our server was nowhere to be found. I asked to speak to a manager and a few minutes later, a young man who appeared to not even be old enough to serve alcohol asked if he could help us. I explained the situation about 45 minutes with still not even a salad. He said “just one minute” walked away, I assumed to find out what the issue was, so I sat back down at our table. About 5 more minutes goes by and we’re still sitting there so we decided just to leave. We went back up to the hostess station and asked to pay for our drinks so we could leave. Again I was told “just a minute” as the host walked away. Stood there for a few minutes without seeing a single person who worked at this establishment so we just walked out hungry and irritated. The restaurant also had a very “icky” feeling to it…sticky tables, food dried stuck to the bread board, table was in poor condition with lots of scratches on it. I asked about their sweetener options before ordering unsweetened tea, as I only use the blue "Equal" packs. When she brought our drinks back, we were told that they were out of blue packs. No worries, we ordered Coke zero.
We both ordered the blue cheese chopped salad, only to be told a few minutes later that they were out of the dressing for it. We opted to try another vinaigrette that they did have and blue cheese dressing, which honestly wasn't too bad as we did actually enjoy our salads and the bread.
The other person in my party needed a refill of drink and I asked for more bread. She asked him to keep his straw and she would go refill his cup, we would still be waiting on that refill if we hadn't brought it back to her attention that she never brought his drink back - we're still waiting on more bread...
When our entrees came to the table, my steak was underdone and still red inside, I only eat mine well done, as I ordered it, and the Alice Springs chicken breast was about the size of a 50 cent piece.
The other person in my party ordered the NY strip, but it didn't look like any strip steak we had seen before and was over 50% fat and gristle.
Needless to say we returned our meals and just wanted to pay for our drinks and salads, but didn't want to order anything else after being disappointed. The manager was very nice about it, apologized and offered to make us something else, or send a dessert home with us, but we were just ready to leave by then.
They did comp our ticket so we didn't have to pay anything, and we did leave the server a tip as she was friendly and tried to be helpful, but it will probably be a long while before we try this...
