Waffle House — Restaurant in Hickory

I have been to this restaurant plenty of times and have had great service and the food is always good. This one particular time the service was the worst that I have ever had. When We Ordered our food I always get the same order Hash browns with onions. Well needless to say the onions where not even cook just thrown on. And it just so happend that our Waitresses shift was ending so she left in the middle of our service. Now mind you that there are five people behind the counter. Not one time did any one of them check on us or refresh our drinks. They where so nonchalant to not only us but the other three customers also that One gentleman got up and left highly upset because he had waited 15 minutes for service. Not only did he walk out and they lose business,but one of the servers continues to say "that apperently no one had saw him come in???" Im not sure what kind of new management they have now but it is beyond horrible. I will not go back and eat there if the same servers and cooks will be there. I was very disappointed in ther service and the food. I have had great service from this restaurant before and I dont understand how management can hire workers to work at a restaurant that involves service with a smile and that not...

I will try and be gentle. Came here on 11/27, Sunday night about 9:15. There were no other customers. 1 waitress and I think 2 cooks. Multiple tables were dirty. Glasses plates....you know, prior customers that had ate and left. So I had 1 table to the left to choose to sit at. The cook said the waitress would be out soon and would clean up the other tables (which never happened during our stay.) And maybe one to the right to sit at that wasn't blocked or dirty. The waitress was in the back and came out and took our order, but pulled up a chair and sat down to take our order. After calling the pull or ticket she went by the register and stood and got on her phone for a few minutes and then im not sure what she did after that. After 10 minutes or so more customers come in and placed order to go. Maybe because of the dirty tables??? Not sure, just assuming. I am just shocked at how long these tables stayed in a mess. Maybe it's a tactic so too many people wouldn't come flooding in at one time to be seated and only 1 waitress to handle the floor? I don't know, but haven't seen such a tactic before. First question why is the diner is full but half the tables are closed off with everyone brunched together on one side of the diner . Food is great love the cooks they are always GREET you! Which people love smh I’m not from North Carolina I’m here on a business trip for a month and this was the closest. The older waitress are all great however the young one seem to care less. This one girl stood out because I waited 5 mins before I had to someone to take my order she had pink hair with glasses but would just stare and just continue cleaning while continuing to walk pass me even tho I’m the only one standing at the register. I’m not sure if she doesn’t like her job but I literally tip over 15dollars or higher to the first person that helps me and they are always shocked. Then I had a young man take my order last week he must have been new because he look around after 10 minutes before calling out my order. I think higher up some be doing reviewing employee work because I’m from here and I see that problem. You need to be happy. Where are the division and area...
