I purchased biscuits (11 dozen) and a pie. I was to pick up at 830 pm. I arrived at 820 pm and selected I'm here button to let cracker barrel know i was there to pick up my order. Not sure why email told me to go to curbside if no one was going to bring my food out. I waited until 840 and I went inside and I waited at check out to ask about my order. The cashier asked if it was already paid for and pointed to a shelf for take out. I not sure why my email said to go to curbside pickup My order wasn't on the shelf but she did find a bag with my name behind counter. She handed me the bag. I said that can't be all , that doesn't look like $186 worth of food. She read the note and seen that the box of food was mine also. But I didn't have a pie or jelly for the biscuits. She checks with the Kitchen and says pie was ordered separate they will have in a few minutes. I'm thinking I ordered together over 24 hours ago. Anyway. I was waited for my order that I was to pick up for over 45 minutes. Then they said they were out of jelly so I had 11 dozen biscuits but no jelly. Cracker barrel biscuits are always a big hit at our Christmas breakfast. Not this year. I did have to pick the biscuits the night before since they were not able to get the biscuits ready for me to pick up at 7am like the year before. They were not very helpful when I had called to asked for help on this which was a few days before I actually needed. I was very disappointed in the pick up process and then the cashier saying that I had ordered separate is the reason I waiting even longer. The whole process was disappointing. I will have to look for a different biscuit maker for next...
Read moreI tried to place my order on the app for 30 minutes and it took forever for it to finally go through. I finally go my order placed at 7:56pm and was supposed to have my order by 8:17. I didn't receive a confirmation email or text to check in when I arrived. I walked in at 8:10 to let them know I was there and what spot I was parked in. I had to wait for the employee to finish talking to help me, they were very busy but she was chatting with co workers. Once I got her help, she then advised me that they didn't have any of one of the entrees I ordered, so I had been waiting without notification and only found out when I went to them. They replaced it with another entree but I had to wait until 8:37 to get my food. Once I arrived home the food was cold, ribs were dry and tough. This was the worst experience I have ever had there and go quite often.
UPDATE: Cracker Barrel offered a compensation which i honestly wasn't satisfied with, it was completely unacceptable. I just want a refund, instead they give me 1 meal which only makes me have to pay them more money because my family isn't just 1 person. I feel like their attempt to resolve this (which i do appreciate they made an attempt in general) was only a way to make them more money and not cost them anything and just so they could say they tried to resolve it. Yet, at the same time won't respond to my message any longer. 1 meal does me no good when I have a family, not just me. I asked for a refund and haven't used the voucher yet they choose not to reply. This is so...
Read moreI chose to go to Cracker Barrel because they tend to have a good selection of options. I had just recently eaten at the CB in Morganton and I had gotten the Grandma's Breakfast but asked to replace the eggs with grits. It was no big deal just an up charge, which I was fine with. Yesterday when I went to the CB in Hickory, I ordered the same thing and asked if I could have grits instead of eggs. The sever told me that she didn't know if she could do that and the new manager had just come on who doesn't like to do substitutions. So I asked her to please go double check with the manager. She came back a few minutes later and said it would be an up charge. I said okay. I am not sure why it was such an ordeal to get grits instead of eggs. I wasn't asking for a piece of trout, just a bowl of grits. The entire interaction was just off putting. Then my friend asked for a single serving of apple butter and she was told it would be a .40 upcharge because people we asking for lots of apple butter and wasting it. If you ask for more than 1 I get it, but shouldn't you at least be able to get just a small single serving of apple butter with your biscuits? I have gotten my fill of CB for a while and when I do go back, it will not be to the...
