Panini's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Highland Heights

Went there for the Browns game yesterday. Totally expected them to be very busy. No surprise there. Having said that, I would expect that the owner(s) & management would expect themselves to be busy as well. Have they not run a bar on a game day before? Nowhere close to enough staff. Unlike the larger groups there, I was dining & watching the game alone. Took them 1/2 an hour to notice me sitting at the bar. They asked what I wanted to drink. I said 1 Pepsi please. 20 minutes later finally got my Pepsi. When they brought my Pepsi, I simultaneously ordered 1 pepperoni pizza. Over an hour later, my pizza finally showed up. Not once did anyone ask me if I wanted any refills on my Pepsi or if I'd like any additional food. You might say I was ignored because they were focusing on the larger groups to make more money & that might be true. However, I noticed 90% of the packed bar seats were people in my very scenario. Very slow to get drinks & almost nobody had food. Not like we all showed up at the exact same time. And you can't tell me I was the only person at the bar that ordered food. While my pizza was very good & tasty once it FINALLY got to me, the overall service was absolutely lousy. On a scale of 1 - 10, was a negative 10 at best. Might have had slightly better service if the one guy (as oppsed to the other women working the bar) spent more time serving people as opposed to using a silver drink mixing cup as his personal spit cup for his chewing tobacco. If the Browns hadn't been on tv, I would have left before I received my 1st Pepsi. Someone seriously needs to call John Taffer of Bar Rescue fame to get this place running way more...

DO NOT GO HERE WORST PANINIS LOCATION HANDS DOWN Literally the worst service ever we thought it was a one off last time but this time same deal some member of “all that” was working as hostess google “ Rachel Dolezal”….so we try to sit at the outside bar where 2 other couple are waiting about 15 mins till the server/bartender comes up to the couple next to us talks for a couple mins then walks away without even taking a drink order then the female in the couple turns to us and says “oh sorry the bartender is my roomate/freind and she’s just really busy and can’t take any orders right now you guys can sit here but probably want to go in and order” yes this is real life.

P.S. I forgot to add this was a weekday at about 6-7pm also the same bartender who had to to bring her friends drinks after her nice fun convo with her was too busy to offer us a menu or a drink or water but again not too busy to hangout chat with her freinds then hide behind the partition and play on her phone for a solid 5-7 mins then disappear…mind you there were 2-3 bartenders inside with a mostly full bar having 0 issue pumping food, and drinks out. Sorry for lack of punctuation …also between my girl and I we have about 2 decades in the service industry..from dishwasher/busing…to cooking…and she’s served , bartended , and managed. It’s just sad this paninis location is like this we love the Willoughby one…and as far as this area goes we will be sticking to winking lizard from now on…do yourself a favor and don’t come to this paninis...

Hostess was very friendly when we came in right when the place opened. We were sat and it felt like we were bothering the waitress immediately upon being sat. Very short, unfriendly and came off like we were bothering her by being there. Food was good no complaints , but never stopped by to see how things were or if we needed refills which we did. Only time after sitting a while with empty plates and visibly standing up and looking around for someone to help us did our waitress come back over. Not do you need anything just handed the bill , again no offer of a refill at any time during our visit, no thank you just very short and again came off as we were bothering coming to the restaurant. I completely understand short staffing issues that occur , but there were only 3 other tables sat and multiple employees sitting around. Should have just ordered to go for this kind of service from the staff. Not the normal experience I have when going to Paninis was quite shocked and...
