Skyline Tavern — Restaurant in Highland Heights

My wife and I are in town for a concert at PNC Pavilion. At a hotel in Wilder and were looking for a place to get lunch. Skyline Tavern was nearby so we thought we would give it a shot. The bar is located next to the campus of Northern Kentucky University but we learned from Tommy, the bartender, that it has been there much longer than the school. I believe he said 85 years. First the service was outstanding. Tommy welcomed us in and was extremely friendly. I got a BLT which was really good. My wife got a cheese burger and said it was one of the best she has ever had. There were two other couples at the bar who knew each other and Tommy and they were all really friendly. Even including us in their conversations. Fun, lively environment. Normally love this place, we’ve been going nearly every other weekend and normally have great service. This weekend I approached the bar to place a food order and the brunette bartender completely ignored me and decided to lean against the back of the bar after scoffing at me. The lady working the bar doesn’t know the difference between a real I.D. And a fake one. Gave here three forms of I.D. And she still wouldn’t serve me because she can’t read an out of state I.D. Was not impressed with the staff, found them very rude. You would think with them being right next to a college campus that they would know how to read other state I.D.’s.
