Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Highland

I really like their barbecue. I am a sucker for BBQ ribs. I really wish they would do beef ribs but if all I can get are the pork ribs I guess I have to settle for that. I have only gotten the ribs the beans the green beans the mashed potato salad as well as the mashed potato casserole and they were all very good. The green beans are just very spicy but they are not season very well. If you cannot eat real spicy food, I do not suggest this place for you. Their sweet barbecue sauce is spicy everything except for their potatoes or spicy. Every Dickies may not be the same as far as their condiments because the Dickies in Highland has ice cream and the best lemonade whereas the newer one in San Bernardino across from Cal State they do not offer Ice Cream soft serve ice cream where you can serve yourself nor do they have the lemonade the fresh squeezed lemonade but it's a smaller environment it's just getting started and it is greatly appreciate it to be up here. There are not very many really good fast food places or places to eat should I say up here near Cal State San Bernardino. We decided to eat at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit tonight for dinner and wanted to order two of the Classic family pack special plates for $36. We called our local store on Greenspot Road in Highland to order. The employee took our order and our name and told us it would be 15-20 minutes to pick it up. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were told by an employee at the register that our order was $20 more than the price listed on the online menu. We were informed that the person that took the order didn’t know that the meal was advertised on the website was an “online order only.” Nowhere online does it say this, nor were we told of the additional price during the initial phone order. A total should have been given over the phone. If we had known about the price difference when we called, we would not have placed the order. We drove for our pickup in the rain only to be told that our order was $20 because we had placed the order on the phone. As much as we want to patronize restaurants during this pandemic, the treatment we received at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit on Greenspot Road was very discouraging. Needless to say, we will not be ordering there...

Ordered pick up on the app but decided to eat in, waited a few minutes to get food cause I had ordered fries. ( made fresh when I arrived) Disappointed I wasn’t offered or given forks, ketchup or napkins with my order.

Overall food was good although things were not labeled including all the bbq sauces one was barely had a few drops in container. Our waffle fries were rancid, oil needs to be changed. Ice cream machine broken, and floor hadn’t been moped or swept and is also greasy.

Windows need cleaning. Tables and chairs are wobbly and chairs are visibly dirty/greasy. Table cover should be replaced when they become faded and/or torn. I won’t bore you with any pics since you’re probably on your way to eat and this will ruin your appetite.
