Jenny's Diner — Restaurant in Highland

The staff and the owners of the restaurant are some of the kindest most generous loving people you would hope to meet. New sentence hopefully everytime you go there and you place your order if it's not the way you wanted it they will fix it to your specifications they are very helpful careful and courteous very respectful never once have I walked into a dirty restaurant or the restroom for that matter every single time I go there I'm treated like royalty the place has always been clean and tidy and everytime you go you feel welcome and if you're part of the family hopefully this helps but as far as the food goes you're paying a little bit of money for good quality home-cooked meals and everytime I go to the restaurant I leave feeling full and content their portion sizes are to die from their prices are nothing to even Flinch at. But if you order food to go when they say it will only take 10 minutes you better be there or your food will start to get cold but have no fear Jesse his staff and the entire family at Benny's Diner loves everybody and everybody can count on somebody no matter what when I'm hungry that is exactly where I want to go I go to the diner then vintage Styles D license plates the prices are out of this world and the food is 20 times better pleased if he can take your time of your day even if you're only visiting town and go there for an hour or so I assure you not only will you have a damn good time but you also walk away with probably about 6 or 7 new friends not to mention the fact that they are just as good if not better than family so if you need a good place to eat and you're in Highland California please stop by my favorite restaurant Jenny's Diner on Palm Avenue to all who read this let them know I am one for hunt 100% positive I am addicted to their food their family and they're warm presence and them being happy to receive us that way I know they're happy and so are me and my mom so did Jesse and his crew I'm giving you a major shout-out and saying hey thank you for the help I know you don't have to do it but you did and when Mom was in the hospital just say the owner of Jenny's Diner himself went to see my mother in the hospital so that she didn't feel all alone and that made her feel like a million dollars take a bite take a few minutes to have a cup of coffee or soda or whatever your drink Choice Maybe but don't forget to try the open-faced turkey sandwich or you can also have a bean and cheese burrito you can have a burger and fries you can have the baked potato and just a hamburger patty either way not only are you going to have the best possible down home food that you could possibly imagine stuffing in your mouth you'll eat it so fast that you will have an inhaled your entire amount of food in less than 5 minutes and then you still want more and even if there's still more left on your plate they'll give you a little bit extra wrap it up give you an extra soda to take with you or juice or tea whatever that may be and now they still let you walk away feeling like...

Clanging dishes and chatter from nearby tables are the music you hear in this inviting, fast-paced diner. The waitress, I swear there is only one two-stepping her heart out across every inch of this place (or at least all the tables around me), was hustling to take care of every table in sight and occasionally arguing over wether or not the bacon is "too salty". She has charm, grace and everything else you'd expect from a an absolute pro and you can tell she's been doing it for awhile. I love when people love what they do. The food comes out fast, in large portions for low prices and tastes the way you would expect; hearty, greasy and delicious. This place is great if your looking for the diner where all the retirees hang out and talk politics. It's charming vibe, clean interior and affordable food is a staple in any town worth it's weight. I've had a ton of diners in my life, especially growing up in Oklahoma, and this one isnright up there with some of the better ones I've had. Still haven't found biscuits and gravy like I grew up with, but the rest was great. Give it a go.

This is definitely a local hotspot. We've been taking our family to eat here now for a few years and this place is great. Despite how busy it might look, you'll have a seat in about 10 and food within another 10. Foods always fresh, hot and filling. Staff is friendly and makes everyone feel at home. Had to come up from LA/OC to turn in a rescue turtle to a turtle sanctuary in Highland at 9am sharp. Afterwards we decided to get breakfast and found Jenny's nearby on Google Maps.

The waitress was attentive, quick, efficient, and just overall spot-on. Plus nice extra bonus: her hairdo, 50s-ish waitress uniform and tattoo could have been straight out of Hollywood casting.

Karin had the huevos rancheros, thought they were the best she's ever had. Got a taste myself, loved the spicy warmth of the ranchero sauce.

I had the All American breakfast comprising two sausages, two of what appeared to be double bacons, two pancakes, hash browns and two eggs, in my case, over easy. My ONLY tiny complaint of the entire visit was that somehow exactly one of the eggs was a bit overcooked. But not the other one. Bizarre.

The prices were extremely reasonable, the likes of which one could never hope to see in a non-chain breakfast joint in LA/OC.

I only gave three stars for atmosphere. I mean no disrespect whatsoever with that rating. It's a roadside diner, for goodness' sake. It's not supposed to look like a plush speakeasy.
