Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Highland

I was getting lunch for my family and drove a distance from Cal State San Bernardino. To this location for some Yummy Jersey Mikes's . Well! I arrived on site and was in line. A lady in front of me said to the clerk, " Is that all the lettuce you have?" I also noticed the lettuce looked AWEFUL, some brown in it. Not crispy green looking. The clerk ( I should have got his name ,but I forgot because I was SO DISSAPOINTED) with an Attitude , he said, "That's all we have ; we just cut it this morning. I was discusted by his reply. Not only did I drive a distance to get some Jersey Mike's, but my families lunch was ruined. I literally walked out!! I think the lady also did. I should of taken a picture of the lettuce, but I was so Upset, I just walked out!

Friday July 22nd, 2022 I'm updating my Review for this particular site. I have literally not been back since my last Negative Review ,5 Months Ago. So, again I was craving a Sandwhich and I happened to be very close to this site. I thought I'd give it another chance. Well!!! I don't know if it's just my luck or what? Walked in about 835pm, ordered my Favorite #6 Roast Beef. I asked for White bread , and asked the young lady to please add mayo before she adds the meat. As she was spreading the Mayo, she says "oh!, we're are all out of Lettuce tonight " she asked ,is that ok? I said, No I'm Sorry it's Not ok! My wife and kiddo, and myself too, love the sandwiches here! I lived on the east coast for a few years and discovered there that sandwiches could be a good deal better than what you find at places like subway! This particular location is one we especially like to go to. The staff is always so friendly, and not in a way that feels like it's just what management tells everyone to do! What compelled me to do this review after we've been eating there for many years is that a few evenings ago we had an experience that was even better than the normal excellent service we've received there! We had ordered our food, gone home, started to eat and then my wife realized she had completely forgot to ask that they put the oil and vinegar she usually gets on her sandwich. I headed back down to get a side of it about half an hour after we'd left with our meal. They gave me three containers of oil and vinegar each and didn't charge me a thing for it! I realize that's a really small thing, but because of my wife's chemotherapy treatment it's really hard to find foods that she can eat these days and their kindness in giving us what she needed to make her meal perfect was no small thing to us! My fiancé and I have been to Jersey Mike’s a few times and it’s always really good. It’s kind of expensive, but it’s totally worth it. The meat is sliced super thin (but not too thin) to perfection. He got a giant club supreme and I got a regular #13 (Italian sub), and we decided to split a regular big kahuna chicken, and we got the black cherry tarragon soda can. The price was about $40, and everything was super delicious. I don’t know the girl’s name that took/made our order, but she was very sweet, friendly, and helpful (she had really cute silver, cat eye glasses).
