I went here for mother's day with my family members. Right now, I'm at home listening to my mother's angry conversation to her cousin who DID NOT ATTEND. To be honest, I couldn't tell what some of the food was, and I only knew that the yellow mushy stuff was potatoes because I overheard a lady say it was. I was told that this was brunch... Um, no. It is more like lunch...that smells weird... but, service is good if that's all you care about... Also, what got me the most besides the food, was that we were the ONLY BLACK PEOPLE at the restaurant... all white people. So yeah, hope you like it.
Quotes from mom, "This was the worst mother's day I've ever had." "I tell you this was THE WORST" "It was horrible" "Too salty" "Looks like they took this pecan pie out of the freezer, then singed the top a little to make it look "cooked." "I will NEVER go back there." "That stuff was the nastiest thing I had ever...EVER...EVER! "Grungy, old nasty looking" -In reference to the inside of...
Read moreNew to Highland, we want to try every restaurant in town. Michael's has a really cool atmosphere, walking to the table I felt like I was in that scene from Goodfellas where they take the back way to get to their special table in the front row. Historic and vintage pictures all around, I appreciated the decor. Great music on the speakers. Got two different types of bread and a large dish of butter when we first sat down. Waiter was very formal and kind. The fried calamari for an appetizer was outstanding. The salmon, baked potato, and spinach was delicious, however it came with a sauce that didn't sit well with me but its okay because it could just be left off. My wife got the seafood alfredo, which she raved about. Another waitress brought out a platter of desserts that all looked phenomenal. We got the homemade bread pudding and a chocolate cheese cake that were both fantastic. Prices are very reasonable. I am very satisfied with the place and will...
Read moreHad the wonderful opportunity to bring my parents here for dinner with my boyfriend and his family! Being from St. Louis it was a quick, easy 45 minute drive to Highland. As you walk in you are greeted my friendly staff and sense of home. The environment was warm and upbeat. I loved all the baseball nostalgia on the wall, despite not being a Cubs fan! The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters and entrees. The crab cakes were a popular hit at the table and devoured shortly after arrival. For dinner I had the Chicken Tuscany and it was simply delicious! Both sets of families left stuffed and well taken care of by our waiter Burns. I can only say wonderful things about my Michael’s experience. Anybody who has not been is missing out! I look forward to sitting outsise on the patio when warm...
