We came in thinking the advertised $9.99 all-you-can-eat pizza buffet deal would be a good idea and sounded good. We ordered two, along with two drinks. Our tab was $34.46 before gratuity. And the experience we got from it was miserable.
For starters, there's an okay amount of salad bar toppings. The salad is alright.
I wish I could be as positive about the pizza bar. The most underwhelming thing I've seen in a pizza restaurant. If you're looking for just regular, unadulterated pepperoni pizza or even just cheese pizza, look elsewhere. Your choices are hawaiian, olive, or premium. If you've got kids, better hope they're not picky if you come here.
I asked the front counter attendant if he could make some pepperoni for the pizza bar. He told me that because there were already 3 pizzas out that he could not make any until the pizzas that were there started to go. So basically we'd have to hope the two people who were in there with us would eat all of the other pizza before we could actually have any. Eventually he told me that he put one in the oven, but it's too little too late in my opinion.
The breadsticks were okay, kind of mid. We finally tried the pizza, it's nice but I was hoping more than 6 slices would come out. But alright I guess.
And what the hell is going on with the atmosphere in this place? With a name like Mountain Mike's Pizza, you'd expect a high octane bar grill with pizza and wings and a sporty atmosphere. This place is Corner Street Bakery in execution. Not the sports paradise one would expect. 5 TVs. Two of them are playing the same one Tennis match. One of them is ESPN sports news, and for some reason the other two are playing political news. Why the hell would you put on politics???? No football, no soccer. But at least we get to watch tennis.
But whatever. Sometimes you expect Sports Pizza Bar and Grill and you get a Pizza Chalet instead. That's fine. This place even has an arcade in the back for the kiddos. At this point, why dedicate an entire pizza to olive or Hawaiian? You should have an entire pizza dedicated to either just pepperoni, or pepperoni and cheese. Who the hell hates cheese pizza, and why isn't it even an option? Kids should not have to wait 30 minutes just to get their hands on no more than 6 slices of pepperoni while the adults power through an entire half of premium pizza. This is an awful policy decision and judging by how little traffic there is here even after seeing other reviews from weeks ago, the manager should be fired for this. Either them or some higher up working at this company.
As I'm writing this, I had a change of heart in regards to the front attendant. A group of elderly customers came in and he asked them if there was a kind of pizza they preferred for the pizza bar. He read the room! What a rockstar. Management you better take notes and learn from this man, he is now awesome in my eyes. Give him a raise. EDIT: His name is Garrett.
All in all, not worth the 35 bucks and I don't plan on...
Read moreOrdered at 5:40 supposed to be ready by 6:00 then at 6:30 I was told do I want to refund and I said why and it was because they had to make more dough and it was going to be another 20 minutes. So I'm waiting another 20 minutes. Service is horrible here. They Didn't explain to me when I first got here that they were out a dough and it took them this long to make a pizza. I don't recommend this place. Go to Redlands or go to American Pizza company. They make better pizza anyways. Update. They saw me taking pictures of the restaurant so the manager on duty the assistant manager a girl. She refunded my money and said that she didn't give me permission to take pictures. And if I don't leave she going to call the Police on me. I told her I'm posting it on Google for a review. This is America. I guess she doesn't know where she's living. Me and my family come here a lot but I guarantee you we will not be coming back to this place and I will be telling everybody I know not to come here.
UPDATE* IT'S BEEN 7 MONTHS...
Read moreI came with my family this last Saturday for the first time to Mikes mountain pizza, I had originally ordered online for pick up decided to stay dine in, I ordered a second pizza which totaled for $89 everything seemed great when I believed the owner came and charged me for two extra cups for beverages. I mean at This point I told him “I just spent $90 here decided to eat in and you’re charging me an extra $7 for two glasses”? Sorry to say but I told him he has lost my business due to $7 we were a family of 5 and he only gave me two cups for the two litter soda I had ordered. I saw his employees get drinks from the soda machine at least 8 times in the small amount my family spent there. Not to mention I t was a warm day and the AC was not doing justice.
