Chubby's of Hildebran — Restaurant in Hildebran

Chubby’s has always been a favorite place of mine to eat whenever I am in town, but boy have they dropped the ball with their employees and service! I stopped in with my family on Saturday, 1/21 for lunch and 3 young girls were running the place. Once we placed our order, we waited, and waited, and waited all while seeing everyone around us (even including people that ordered after us) eating their food or getting Togo orders. My Dad went up front to make sure they hadn’t forgotten about us and was told that they were making ours. So we waited, and waited and waited some more, so my Dad asked a second time about our food. Come to find out, the girl at the register had forgotten to print out our ticket. Okay, so accidents happen, I understand that. Here is the kicker…they continued to make other peoples food that came in after us all while we continued to wait!!!! Please keep in mind at this point we had been waiting OVER AN HOUR!!!!! At this point I was furious as anyone would be in my situation. I demanded a refund. The girl tried to argue with me, but I told her I would happily talk to a manager (which of course no one was there) but that I was not leaving until I was fully reimbursed. She reluctantly gave me my money. When we finally did get our food, it was terrible! I couldn’t even eat mine nor did the rest of my family. Right before we left, I guess a “manager” (the girl looked hardly old enough to drive) came in and the girl that had gave me my money back started talking about me, loud enough so that I could hear. (That right there is completely unprofessional and shows a lack of maturity). She was saying that I couldn’t go anywhere not even to Arby’s and get service any quicker. I’m sorry, but yes I could have. After an hour and 30 minutes, I could have ate at a fine dining restaurant. Here is my advice for the owners…get rid of your little teenagers or at least get a competent adult to oversee them. I have even heard from others that the food and service is terrible on the weekends and they will only eat through the week when the older ladies are working. I hate to say it, but Chubby’s has lost my business. Do something about your employees and managers or else you won’t have a business for long with people like that representing...

Ordered a pizza with 5 toppings. Should've picked up a frozen box pizza. Nothing to do with the fact that on a Sat. night around 7:00 p.m. , no other diners were eating (an empty dinning room), although there were 6 members of a family standing near the entry door reading and discussing their individual orders as I stepped outside to make a work related phone call and wait the 12 mins. stated . Waited 15 mins., to return to pick up my pizza to find the 6 diners had been waited on and the waitress was delivering their large beautiful chef salads and a couple hot sub sandwiches. I ask and was told my meal wasn't ready yet. 34 mins. into this, I was handed my pizza. At this time , I'm numb to everything with no negative thoughts at all. Take my meal home, grab a beer, and kick back for a couple slices. Took maybe three bites before I'll realized ......this has got to be most nasty pizza I've ever attempted to stomach. I couldn't stomach eating this with my dad's false teeth. I dissected the remainder of this piece like the earthworm in high school lab. Not sure about most of it but the items I did recognize were little square chips of the sliced tomatoes from a can asked for, didn't see any typical round shaped pepperoni's but did again see little chips of a reddish material that I nerved up to taste ....remains indeterminate. The cheese, a generous portion of a yellow cheese looking substance that had zero "0" flavor. guessing....used the cover up the short comings of what Chubby's call's pizza. This is the first time I have ever written a review on anything but I felt obligated under these circumstance. Sorry Chubby's, but I would rethink what you could really have as there aren't any pizza places near you. Good luck with making better choices for ingredients as on this date , without question, this is the worst pizza I've ever...

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.I just ordered takeout 2 Angus burgers with soupPlusTwo 16-in subs.The order arrived almost 30 minutes after it was promisedWith no soupAnd nothing but meat on the subs.When I calledThe restaurantI spoke withAClerk and the manager.Both had nothing but excusesAnd were not willing to take responsibility for any of the errorsIn my order.I eventually hung upOn the managerWho was offering meA creditFor some soupBut since I do not plan to order from this place ever again the credit will do me no good. The subs had no lettuce tomato or onion just meat bread and mayonnaise because I made the mistake of asking them to add salt pepper and mayo. I was blamed for the clerk missinterpreting what wS written. Obviously they missed the days in school when reading was taught. Also I was supposed to know that soup is only available after October which is why I did not get the soup I paid for. Silly me! So was the food at least good and worth the wait and the almost $65.
