Hardee's — Restaurant in Hildebran

Went through the drive-thru Monday night about 5:15 to order a sandwich for a friend who was in my vehicle. I ordered him a combo with a small drink. I was told to pull around for my total. When I got around there the young man was sitting on a stool or something with his foot up on the wall. He asked me would I be paying with cash or card and when I replied that I would be paying cash, he told me that my total was $40.10. When my response was ... he had to be crazy...... he said "no sir that's what your total is." He told me you ordered the monster burger and that's what it cost. I told him that he better call a manager over there because that could not be accurate a combo does not equal $40. He then said "oh I'm sorry sir it's $20.10" I said "$20 for a combo"? He said "yes sir". I said "do I get a receipt with this order"? He replied "yeah". After giving him the $20 bill I asked him for my receipt to show the total and he replied "you'll get your receipt when you get your order and I need you to pull up and I'll bring your order out to you when it's ready" . There were no cars behind me or any cars ordering behind me at the drive-thru speaker so I didn't understand why I had to pull up. I pulled up and waited about 10 minutes at which point he brought a bag out which was wadded up like he was about to throw it in the trash and he handed it to me without a drink and without a receipt. I replied "Where's my receipt?" He said "I don't know sir I guess it's inside or something." I said Where's the drink that comes with the combo and he replied "you didn't order a drink you just ordered a sandwich." I said "so you charged me $20 for one sandwich?" And then I said listen just give me my money back I don't want the food or to talk to you anymore I just want my money back. I then walked in and told management to give me my money back and to keep whatever was in that bag that was wadded up. They gave me a little bit of difficulty but with my assertive demeanor they gave me my $20 back and I will never eat at that Hardee's between now and the time it goes out of business due to its lack of management and customer service. It is my opinion that they are not ringing up orders and stealing money from the company by giving fake totals and not printing receipts. His attitude with me about requesting a receipt led me to believe that his frustration proved right my suspicions. I wish I had a number to call and report them but Hardee's only has a message board that you can leave an online comment. I will never eat at that Hardee's again. What a horrible experience....

my breakfast favorite is their Pork Chop & Gravy Biscuit & THIS OUTLET ALWAYS GETS IT RIGHT & ITS ALWAYS HOT

ALWAYS HOT IS ALWAYS SPECIAL. today i drove in & drove straight to the order station; other times the line is slow & long.

if you're in a hurry theres lots of fast food outlets that serve fast food so fast its not even hot in hickory (go) i just came from there

if you don't mind a little wait you will get to meet some of Hardee's local & most treasured personalities at their drive thru display case & THEN you'll get to enjoy your favorite hot breakfast offerings that were seemingly Made To Order when you got in line

i live in newton i was in a pork chop & gravy biscuit mood & i drove past the conover & hickory hardees outlets to get here because: This Hildebran Hardee's Is That Special

7.26.2025 925a Hi Googlers i was in Newton & had a craving for SOMETHING GOOD this morning & (YES) a Pork Chop & Gravy Biscuit came to mind & (YES) I KNOW FROM WHERE

my expectations were totally met Grrrrrreat Biscuit As USUAL

i was in line at 916a there were 5 cars ahead of me to order. i ordered at 922a & pulled out WITH my order at 924a {8 mins in & out = ✓+ }...

So I am a reg customer. The past 3 to 4 weeks the service has been hit or miss. 1st let me say the lady who works the front (older black lady, she talks about her grands, its not the shift manager, although she is nice) she is AMAZING. so 3 weeks ago I went through the line. The younger lady taking the orders and packing was extremely rude. Then when I get to the window and there is a teen sucking her thumb taking money and packing orders.

I went yesterday I said hey I would like to order a egg platter I paused then I said I have a coupon. She cut me off and said "what else" I said I was giving u coupon code she cuts me off AGAIN and yells I got it already what else. I asked her are you alright today? Then she tried to switch her tone. I said I cannot eat here today and I left.

As an experience restaraunt manager My suggestion would be that you have the proper training on costumer service and communication. If you see that someone does not have the best costumer service skill they need to be cross trained to support back of the house or they need to be working from home with another company. Your business should be built with lasting...
